If you care about the number next to your name or anyone elses, one way or another, you're taking things too seriously. :^)

Have to agree with the hubby on this one (heck, we agree on 99.9% of things anyhow). I'm seeing this discussion getting way too serious, and I think the post counts are here for fun. Nothing more. Like Sarc, I'd love to see how many settings we've got on this baby. But if they get taken away, I'm not going to cry my eyes out either.

As a sidenote, a high post count doesn't make anyone look any cooler. And a low post count doesn't make you look bad. I can't believe anyone on here would be immature enough to think otherwise in any scenerio (I don't think anyone does anyhow). Not sure why this is a debate.

a lack of things to do?   I DEMAND we get three new movies a week to fill the gap :)

As much as I don't want to get involved, Tarantulas, I have to point out that you're accusing Sarcasm of exactly the same thing you used to do. There's more than a few of us who remember you having 500 more posts than everyone else back in the fall.

Anyway, look at the poll. The people have spoken, and the majority of people say, "We don't give two flying flips!"

Can we unsticky this conversation, now? I liked it better when it was dead.

Don't just unsticky it - lock it.

I'd rather see "Member since xx/xx/xx" or "Joined on xx/xx/xx" or something... I've never really looked at the post counts except for when I was tracking Thom Serveaux on a daily basis just to see how high he could get his "posts per day" rate up to, lol...  :D  (I think he hit over 25 at one point!)

Are you coming on to me?

I point you to a recent SA article about internet arguments, but I'm sure your NetNanny filter won't let you go there anyway.

Oh so  now you read SA do you? HA.

He always did.

I used to have the "Registered date" below the poster's name but, when I upgraded the forum software those changes I made got lost, and I haven't really had time to go back in and re-modify it. Sorry, I'll look into changing things back to "the way dey wuz" as soon as I can.

As long as they know which people can delete their posts or make them say embarrassing things....... >:D
