In fact, one of the reasons I picked 1999 was because of the BULLSHIT decision to give best actress to Hilary Swank instead of Annette Bening.

Is there an official rule (from the Academy, I mean) as to what constitutes a supporting or a leading role?

It seems like it's pretty much up to your discretion based on what I've seen and read

Unless we get double digits submitting I think building a list of nominations will be almost impossible

I'm not so sure.

If just the people posting so far all provide lists, short of all of them being unique, we should come up with a list. We might have to let more than five go through to the final round though.

I think we might want to just stick with Best Picture for now. Keep things simple while we work out the kinks, then add in more categories when we come back for another year.
