anyone else getting trouble with the 91517 ms audio delay?  I can't seem to get the finished audio synced back up to the video.  but i'm still working on it.

SecretAgentSuperDragon

Yeah, I had trouble with pgc_demux and delaycut cutting the audio.

I just ended up doing this. I ripped the movie to my hard drive using dvd fab decrypter so that there were no problems with the dummy vobs.

Then I created an iso for it through dvd shrink. Then I used my NERO image drive to mount the image as an artificial e:/ drive.

I then used rejig, and opened the "disk" with the e:/ drive, and did all the normal steps. The audio turned out perfect and everything worked great.

i got DAEMON tools to mount iso's.  so i'll try that.

did you have any delay in the audio this way?

Thanks SuperDragon!  I have been having a time with this one!

that worked out better, thanks SuperDragon.  I had to use a -160 ms audio delay to get it  a little more in sync.

SecretAgentSuperDragon

No problem. I didn't wanna go through the trouble of making a dvd backup of a movie I already own, thereby wasting a dvd (I'm very frugal), so this seemed like the best idea.

I didn't know why pgc_demux was screwing up the audio delay. It said on there it was -144 ms, but in rejig and dvd decrypter, they both said something like -240 ms. Then delaycut properly fixed it, but I just stuck with rejig.

I must say, the audio in this one was the easiest ever. I just ran the ac3 through belight and converted it to wav with dynamic compression checked, and all I had to do in Audacity was turn the movie audio up +3db and nothing else. Everything turned out fine.

I must say also, the readme really got the sync lines spot on this time. Before it would say 4:36, and the actual audio would be at 4:43, but every sync line was dead on. Nice job guys.

Anyone have a computer illiterate way of dealing with the audio issues. I've had no problem with any of the other tracks but this is driving me crazy and the fixes given seem scary and confusing.

if anyone can help me out with this, i'd appreciate it.

after making multiple copies of  casino royale rifftrax dvd, i keep having the video out of sync with the audio, the rifftrax and movie audio are all synced together, but the video is off.....abut 20 minutesin is where it start and then get progressively worse after that.

i use dvdfabdecrypter to to make a backup, then convert it to and iso , then use rejig to get the Mv2 and Ac3, the use delaycut to fix the audio, then use px3convert to get the wav. , then audacity to edit , then ffmpegui to get the final ac3, then ifoedit to re-author the back up, then dvdshrink to burn the disk.

I've also used rejig to re-author, and i still have the video lag behind the audio.   if I'm missing a step or if there is other tools i could use......again id appreciate it

After ripping the entire DVD with Ripit4me to my hard drive, I used ReJig to rip the M2V and AC3 from casino royale off my hard drive, without correcting the ac3 delay. I then found on the net that the delay is 200ms. So I used AC3 Delay corrector to add 200ms at the start of the audio and BAM! its all good.

When I tried that rejig added like a minute and a half onto the beginning of the movie audio? Maybe I'll try it again.

SecretAgentSuperDragon

Thats odd. I would just suggest then after getting the iso, rip it with dvd decrypter and run it through delaycut. That also works. Ortega night have gotten screwed up because it sounds like he ran it through rejigs delay corrector, and then delaycut's. Just one or the other. But try that.

Crowmeus

If (or when) you use PX3 Convert on the AC3 file, dont normalize it. When I normalized it, the dialogue was much, much lower than the theme song and explosions. I could barely hear the lines, but Mike and Kevin were clear as a bell. I redid it, without normalizing, and there was a definite improvement.

I didn't let ReJig correct the audio. Then used Ac3 Delay Corrector to add 200ms to the beginning of the audio.

I know. For some reason, when i didn't have ReJig correct the audio, there was like a minute and a half of silence at the beginning of the movie audio, before the lion's roar. I did it twice and both times it happened. It makes no sense.
