Stereo tracks for guest riffers?

I've noticed that RiffTrax are now 96Kb/s mono MP3 files, which is typically fine.  There's only one voice and you don't need a lot of bits to recreate the spoken word well.

However, I'm a little surprised to see that the new RiffTrax with guests are still mono.  I miss trax like Star Trek: The Final Frontier, which actually were stereo and, thus, had one voice per audio track (Mike on the left, Kevin on the right).

Can't we upgrade RiffTrax with guest riffers to stereo audio tracks?  Again, it's unnecessary when it's just Mike but with guest riffers, having each voice per channel really does add that extra something...

That is odd. I bought my STV Rifftrax on the day of release and it is 96kbs and only MONO.

I hope they didn't. I would think that they wouldn't split Kevin and Mike to left and right channels only, since they want people to listen to them on their Ipods. I assume that most people listen to the ipod with one ear so they don't miss the movie audio. If I were to listen to them that way, that is how I would do it.

Honestly the stereo track doesn't really add THAT much to the experience.... well other than file size....

Yeah, it doesn't seem like stereo is necessary, especially if it would limit how you used the track, such as the above method.
