FWIW, Shoeboggie's grabbing the headphones with the switchblade comb is in the Rifftrax cut, we're show it causing the spark/short that wakes R.O.T.O.R.

Ah, you're right. The extra footage is of Boogie getting upset that his walkman doesn't work afterward. He says that somebody owes him some money, and something about "We the People, we the people get pissed off!" And then R.O.T.O.R comes up out of a red glow.

I do realize that for some/most people, this seems unnecessary and the Rifftrax VOD is just fine. But if you're a weirdo like me, I think that the leg work is worth it.

I'm with you. That's why I had to do something similar with Laser Mission. Love that riff.

I'm in the process of updating it, actually, and making the guys aware of the extra footage...look for updated files soon

Awesome!

The file has been since removed from Archive.gov and googling hasn't helped. Do you know another place you can find that version of Laser Mission?

Yeah, that one has disappeared. I still have it, so maybe I could post it somewhere. However, it's not a great copy (just much better than the Rifftrax one). I'll bet the MP4 at archive.org is even better. I'll download it and check to see if it's the same as either the Rifftrax or my other copy.

Update: Nope, the MP4 is poor and matches the original rifftrax version.

Well if you get a chance, could you upload the file you got from archive.gov to YouTube, then I could snag it. And it would be awesome.

I actually found a 1.1GB AVI of R.O.T.O.R from filelust.com(?) I'm going to upload it tonight. The current YouTube version is only 360p.

EDIT: Well, it defaulted to 360p, but here it is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nUpoDruuf6Q

Done (see link below). I noticed that it converted my mpeg-2 (dvd) version to other formats, so I don't know if that's going to be an issue.

Does this copy's audio sync up with the current LM available at Rifftrax?

It requires a little work, but Eegah laid it out step by step here.

And I'm not sure if it was something that I did, but the source audio fell out of sync with the video toward the end, so after I followed all of Eegah's instructions and mixed and rendered the audio, I changed the tempo to negative 0.010 and that fixed her right up.

It must have something to do with the youtube conversion. The mpeg-2 version that I uploaded syncs perfectly with my instructions. I wish they would provide the raw version.

I dunno. Following your instructions made the riff sync up perfectly with the audio provided, but for some odd reason the audio provided fell out of sync with the video toward the end. Easy fix though.

Posting this so that the Sub-Forum and Topic show up as New and Unread.

As outlined in the edited OP, the updated HQ version of the movie is now available for download, your files have been updated to better-quality video.
