Just keep Aykroyd away from the writer's chair.
If I had a shitton of money, I'd hire Christopher Nolan and Edgar Wright to make it.
If I had a shitload of money, I'd pay them to stay away from it.
Your logic escapes me.

I must be the only one who doesnt see a point to making another Ghostbusters movie.  Aside from money of course.

I was bieng threated with death by wolf raping before it was cool!.

I hope the point is to make a great comedy that continues the story. Monetary concerns ought to be a distant second or third on the priority list.

Harold Ramis is dead and Bill Murray has no interest in another movie.  Continuing the story is pointless.

Christopher Nolan is tonaly all wrong.

Edgar Wright has only made one great movie.

Nonsense.  The latter part.  The first thing is right.  Also, it goes beyond just tone, Chistopher Nolan is the last guy I would go for a comedy.

If the last Kate Dippold/Paul Feig collaboration is any indication...if nothing else, I look forward to the commentary from Joel, Trace, and Josh!

(And speaking of bringing back Freaks and Geeks actors...come on, Feig. Linda and Busy as busters. Make it happen.)
Apropos of nothing, but this made me think: Wouldn't Joel make a kickin' Ghostbuster? I doubt he'd ever do it, but he'd be awesome.

Part of me is scared to see a Ghostbusters movie without Ramis and Reitman. Most of me is more scared to never see anymore Ghostbusters. Bring on the She-Ghostbusters! Let's see how this goes!
I doubt you'll "never see another Ghostbusters" if this doesn't happen. They'll reboot it eventually. It's too big of a franchise name for the studio not to.

30 years, including 20 years in development hell, say otherwise...

Oh my God... you're right! Let's see.. Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz... End of the World... Wait a minute... okay what genius in the Webster's dictionary writing committee changed the definition of three so that it now means one?!

Then after paying Nolan you have maybe a poopoo-ounce to spend on special effects and actors.
