So, because the guys always schedule these things for Thursday, a day I can't get off from work, my Kickstarter cash is really for the MP3 release.  No complaints.  It's totally worth it.

Question:  So I will have the DVD on hand when it becomes available, can someone "in the know" please post a link to the appropriate Amazon page?  I don't know if there are multiple versions, and I have purchased the wrong DVD in the past.

Thanks.

Anaconda is a really good choice for them to riff. But it's not a title that will draw in the general public, like Godzilla would.

It's good for a fun fall show, methinks. :)

Sister, eh?

I'd really like to see some Kickstarters for some MP3 riffs of older stuff (like Tango & Cash).  If what I've gathered from various interviews & whatnot is that stuff like that just doesn't sell, something like Kickstarter would be a decent way to at least see the level of interest in a riff of whatever movie & if they set the goal at whatever is needed to break even, at least it wouldn't be a loss for them.

The new Rifftrax theme song by Jonathan Coulton is available on iTunes now. Should I get it now or wait to see it unveiled tonight?

I'm waiting & hoping it's maybe one of the goodies.

Even if it isn't, I'd vote for the grand reveal complete with animation.

Wow. I was laughing the whole time, but Mike dropping a Gobbledygooker refference just about killed me.

In my theater we had some SEVERE audio balance/audio ducking issues.  I'd say nearly 90% of the riffs couldn't be heard over the movie.  I could get some of it but, largely, I just saw a very low-res, low audio-quality screening of Godzilla (1998).  :(

Nothing against the guys, the riffing I could hear and pick up was great and I don't know if the audio problems was on their end (as far as the technical crew working behind the cameras) or something on my end with the way the theater was handling the audio channels but this night ended up to be a bit of a let down.

I'm hoping the issue was on my end so that I can catch the encore show next week, assuming the theater better handles the audio issue then.  But I'll wait to see what others here say to see if maybe the audio issue(s) was on the RT end of the show.

Same here.  :-[ The volume of the movie at our theatre (Malco in Oxford, MS) was very low and the riffs were even lower. At times, Mike was barely audible. After about an hour, the volume of both the movie and riffs went up a bit, but it was still difficult to hear.

Like Trekker, I too hope that Tuesday's replay has a better audio mix.

On the bright side, all of the jokes I couldn't hear tonight will be new to me at next week's encore!  8)

The volume levels at my theater seemed good, the movie and riffs were a little unbalanced at first, but that seemed like it came from the live show itself as Kevin even commented on it and gave signals to fix it. Sounds like you two had problems with your specific theaters. Seems there's always a few theaters that can't get it right somehow.

We had the same problem in Gulfport, MS.

Yeah, it started of with the movie being louder than the riffing, then it swapped, I think I heard Kevin asking that the movie's volume be brought up some, which happens and it *almost* seems like a decent balance but that largely came and went. Mostly went.

Vast majority of the time it really seemed like the guys were talking into cold mikes and their lines were being picked up by a hot mike just barely in range of their voices.    Really disappointing.

I hope this is a fixable audio issue that can be done on a mixer or something for Tuesday's encore.

I was hoping we were going to see Duck and Cover tonight but at nearly 2hr and 15m long I can see why we didn't. It was a long movie. We also had the audio issues in Reading PA but they were solved within about the first fifteen minutes.
About the movie who was originally cast in Matthew Broderick's role? Who was supposed to be Mr Studly? Because it was obviously written for someone who was supposed to look better and they even mentioned it with the riffing.
Fodder's just this guy, you know.

Aside from some audio mixing trouble early on and the fact that my theater didn't start the preshow until the last five minutes or so (God bless k1 for his ever-vigilant slideshow photography), this was another fantastic show.

* ADORED the new theme song sequence, but that's not surprising given the pedigree.
* I'm going to pretend Bill's joke in the intro about the number of Simpsons actors was inspired by my similar observation when I interviewed him. HEY GUYS I TOTALLY AFFECTED THE OUTCOME OF THE LIVE SHOW THAT WAS ALL ME YOU GUYS AND NOBODY WILL EVER CONVINCE ME OTHERWISE!
* A couple of favorite riffs that I can remember off the top of my head:
-- Everything about Beth from NewsRadio calling Broderick cute
-- Everything about Jean Reno and coffee.
-- "That's a lot of fish!" "Rejected Douglas Adams book titles."
-- "Hey, guys! I'm Stanley Spadowski!"
