Audio unpause cues...

I liked the audio cue to unpause as opposed to the usual visual cue (When this word fades out, unpause.)
I found that the audio cue was less open to interpretation, and easier to hit on the mark. I'd like to see this on every movie possible. (I know some movies don't have spoken line until after the opening credits, and we wouldn't want to miss out on some opening-credit-riffing.)

What's everyone else think?

I think the way that its done makes the most sense.  It would be silly to make a sync point 2 or 3 minuntes into a movie (sometimes) just for people to go back and have to reset things to get it all synced up.

Plus, as humans we (well you guys at least) are very visual by nature.  So some sort of visual cue is a great way to help gauge when to start the track... think hand eye coordination.

plus, the current system has worked great for many releases now, why fix something that isn't broken?

(Love the M.C. Pee Pants look! :^))

I know it wouldn't work with ALL movies, but I had a much easier time syncing X-Men up than the others because it had that audio cue instead of the visual. They tried it once, and I want them to know it's a big thumbs up from me. :^)

Road House uses an audio cue. The lion roar. None of the other movies have an audio cue you can use.

I don't really think that syncing is all the ball busting of an endevor.

But do you pause right as Mike says pause?  do you wait a second after he says pause to pause?

The whole "three... two... one... pause..." thing is very subjective anyway...

So it would appear that if they can use an audio queue they will, if not then its visual queue

Sounds good to me.

It should be right when something (audio or video) ENDS, not starts, because if you're slow to realize something starting, it messes you up. Top Gun was the worst so far because you're supposed to unpause right when the 80s synth drums start, but I was expecting sorta loud drums, but then that little beat started and I thought, Um, does he mean those drums? Ooop, too late...

Tarantulas

you must unlearn what you have learned...

its an art to get the sync going sometimes.

i have not had a single problem start synching movies up using my ipod and a pair of pc speakers....it always works every time perfectly.
