I'm still trying to figure out the swamp full of the zombies.   They never left to do anything scary, why did they stay there, and what did the police do to them after finding them(assuming they were EVER found)?

And when did our horrible nightclub singer release his CD?

They were guilt tripping our intrepid scientist, I guess.

And there was suggestion of magic with the pan-flute blowing def leper guy (remember when he disappears?). So maybe he was causing them to rise from the dead or it was just a sort of pickle baby thing without the jar.

One of the most messed up movies ever (that does not contain extreme sex or violence).

I think they weren't exactly zombies, maybe? They seemed more like floating bodies there for allegorical/symbolic purposes, except near the end when they all suddenly sunk.

...bluugfff. I don't even understand what the scientist was trying to do. I thought the ending was like, his dream in his dying moments, until the cops showed up.

Okay I rewatched this and saw that yes, the zombies did ONE thing, when the begger's friend strangled him with his zombie hand. That was the only time they did anything so...I know even less...
