I continue to learn how little sense foreign movies from this era made.

I also learned that if you can't afford or acquire ravens for you movie just use vultures.

TriffRax

I learned that poor lepers will run away from you immediately if you offer to cure them.

Road_Element

I've learned that when a woman leaves her boyfriend. She should always leave a decoy mannequin to fool him while you escape.

jimjo1986

Not exactly a funny one, but I learned that the autopsy scene was supposedly real. Kind of a WTF moment.

I learned there can be a downpour while there's a clear-blue sky.

There can, actually. Ever been to Florida? It's uncanny.

I've seen sunlight and hail together. Very strange.

I learned pickled babies will inexplicably roll off shelves.

I learned that hot women in unnamed foreign countries will inexplicably want to go home with scarred creepy scientists, because--she likes genetics.

I learned that Ecuador is an inexplicably nightmarish landscape of soviet-style apartment blocks and swamps and grass huts and bright nights that would make even the most jaded existentialist shudder with glee.

I learned this film defines the adverb inexplicably.

LuvBJones

I learned to be very wary of scientists who offer to butter my toast. And I don't mean that as a euphemism. I don't really know what I mean. I can't even keep track of the corpses in this movie!

Thrash and wail if you need anything, 'kay?

Mother of God, I just got to this scene. How remarkably unpleasant. Well, then...

Well, it was well done. I'm skeptical about it being real though. Remember all that nonsense about that South American film called Snuff?

losingmydignity

I learned that leper's come with their own funky soundtrack and that there lost hands go nicely with a fried egg dinner.

Bob

I learned that fire in South America burns very quickly, destroys things quickly, then goes out quickly.

And when you ask your lab guy to burn himself, he will accidentally get tied to a pole and rope first.

losingmydignity

I learned that you don't have to be in an action movie to drive into a fruit cart.

I guess we shouldn't be surprised that a movie titled "Swamp of the Ravens" has no ravens in it, when we already saw a movie called "Trolls 2" with no trolls in it and one called "Laser Mission" with no lasers. But somehow, it still hurts.
Oh bite me, it's fun!

Choc113

I haven't seen a film so incoherent  and plotless since The Starfighters on MST3K! What was the mad scientist actually doing? apart from hanging out in a filthy shack next to a swamp with NO ravens in it.
I never saw any science, mad or otherwise. He just took body's there and dumped them in the swamp and killed anyone who found out. I am not even sure what he was doing was illegal let alone worthy of a international manhunt!
Oh and some guy singing to his real doll.I didn't even know they had them in the seventies:)
Granted I did nod off a few times while watching it and may have missed some vital plot points assuming there where any plot points to miss.
Did anyone pay enough attention to figure out what was going on?
Liked the riffs though:) Picked dead baby's in jars choir made me LOL.
