Introducing RiffTrax Specials and Best Of VOD's!!!

I knew I should've clarified that I would buy any clip-shows-with-new-material VODs. I already own (or don't have interest) in the Best of the Villains clipshow.

I've waited so long for a Hackers RiffTrax, a Mario Brothers one (they did something similar with IGN awhile back), and others that I'd *gladly* take a clip show than nothing at all. Wouldn't you too, silly fellow RiffTrax fans?

I have a hard time mustering up the enthusiasm for clip show riffs.  Now, if Karate Kid III was a full-length VOD, I'd buy it all over again.  "I've never seen anyone love anything as much as this guy loves being evil."

I probably would like the new material, I don't want this to become a standard option for the Rifftrax crew to produce these instead of full length riffs. Basically voting with my wallet.

In the last few years Rifftrax has been limiting their MP3 output and increasing their VOD output because more people buy them, which is fine with me. If for some reason these "clip shows" sold very well it stands to reason that they would put more effort into them than the less popular MP3 riffs.

As consumers we directly effect the type and quality of products companies produce by deciding to buy or not. If it's a relatively small company like Rifftrax your "vote" has a lot more impact.

The flaw in that logic is that a "no" vote on these specials would somehow result in more mp3s.  Stuff that doesn't sell well gets made less, that's just the way it goes.  The only way to get more mp3s would be if they started selling better than VODs, unfortunately it doesn't look like that will happen.  If the specials don't sell well and we don't get any more of them that will not translate into more mp3s.  And I seriously doubt more of these specials would result in fewer mp3s, since they make so few of them now anyway.

I don't know how well these went down outside of the microcosm that is this forum, but just here, they did not seem very popular at all.

It's less a vote for MP3 than it is a vote to not make clip shows.

How many of the Batman shorts exist, and will they all be riffed? If so, will I be able to purchase them as a set after the fact?
