Has anyone been to one of the live shows? I'd like to attend one but I've concerns on what the experience is at the live show vs, seeing simulcast at the theater.   Mostly on how audible the movie and riffing are over the live audience and how visible the movie is on the stage.

I haven't been since they started doing the theater simulcasts, but saw them riff Plan 9 live several years back. The audio mix was great, and the only time I missed anything was when I was laughing too hard to concentrate. (Watch the live crowd's reactions to things in any recent Fathom show and you'll see they're not having any difficulty either.) I'd highly recommend going if you can make it. The theater experience is great, but nothing beats being there in person.

I saw the first live riffs they did in San Francisco Daredevil and Over the Top. It was at the smallish comedy club Cobbs. Audio was fine.

I was concerned as well.  Saw Birdemic in a theater and it was great.  No problems whatsoever.

I saw the Over the Top live in San Francisco and heard/loved every second of it.  Saw the 2nd simulcast in the theater for the Christmas shorts one.  The video went out a couple of times in our theater but the audio was fine, even with the live audience.

Well, ticket bought and I'm going! I've got a nice 8-hour drive to look forward to come August.

I went to Plan 9 (Baltimore), Jack the Giant Killer, Manos and Birdemic (Utah last three) and loved them all.
