Fertilizer has some explosive properties under certain conditions, right?  That stuff was used in the Oklahoma City bombing.  This sounds like it might have just been an accident.

Bob

Oh yeah, all chemical places are very dangerous to work in and they go through a million safety tasks......sometimes, things just happen.

And go ask your farming friends how dangerous storing massive amounts of corn and flour are too.  The corn storage places had giant explosions all the time when I was a kid.

Tripe

Yes if there is any criminality in this case it's along the lines of the Deepwater Horizon not terrorism.

Tripe

Yes, exactly, and perhaps a word with the investigating authorities about getting a wee bit too excited and how that can cloud an investigation.

He was probably rock solid as he got to insinuate this might be a terrorist act.

There's a Fucking silkworms/inch worm infestation that's been going on for over a week now and they show no signs of going away anytime soon!
I can't even walk outside my house without getting covered in fucking webs from these worms!

Well.....I suppose the insects will be feeding you all to their newly hatched eggs soon.

Nice knowing you.

From yesterday, since I forgot to type it: I kinda sorta rear-ended someone yesterday. It was in the metering line to get on the freeway, so the speed was at 2-3 mph, and damage was nothing more than an imprint of the plastic front of my bumper imprinted on his (if you rub it you can sorta feel a scratch, but not much of one). The guy was quite friendly and understanding about it all, got my insurance info, and we were done in about 5 minutes.

I'm posting this here because I'm still quite mad at myself about it. I've never had anything like this happen before, and it was 100% my fault (I glanced down to fiddle with the radio, and when I glanced back up I realized I was still rolling forward. Too late to brake). Plus it likely means that, even if the damage works out such that there's no real cost to anyone, I imagine my rates (or rather, my parent's rates, since at the moment I'm just a permitted guest user of their policy) are going to go up. Which is extra annoying. And I somehow missed the agent's call today, despite my phone being in my pocket, and when I called back, said agent was no longer there.

All things considered, this is about as insignificant as RRRRRAAAAARRRGGGGHHHHHHes can get, but still... such is my life, I suppose :P

Mrs. Dick Courier

I did the same thing a couple months ago.  Looked at something in my seat and bam.  Couldn't believe it.

Of course the woman I hit cursed me out and acted horribly, even thought I apologized.  Said it was a new car and she was gonna sue my ass off.  I called the police and they wrote $50 damage on my ticket.  Police woman later told me she had to put something because the woman was making such a fuss but it would help me to prove there wasn't any damage really.  Just some black marks that I may have caused.

Wish I had hit your guy instead.

I find it somewhat troubling that the closer attention I pay to the rest of the world, the worse off it seems.

Yeah, I'm trying to go to sleep but the events keep getting stranger and stranger.

It's related to the Marathon thing.  Assuming CNN & Boston.com are correct 1 suspect is dead, the other at large. MBTA closed, massive manhunt going on.

Suspects were 2 brothers from Russia. One was 19.

Bob

It is probably easier to watch the obvious crazy people, but it will be hard to watch out ahead of time for normal looking crazy people.  And I guess it has been that since caveman times.
