I used to carry a Mjolnir amulet simply because Thor is my favorite god ever, bar none, imaginary status nonwithstanding. To me, Thor represents the more grounded elements of life as well as the simple pleasures that also happen to be the most lasting: monster trucks, barbeque, heavy metal, good beer in bottles, oversized weapons and an aggressive passion that enables one to plow one's way through the world.

Blessing of Thor be with you, my friend, and of his apostles Ted Nugent, Ozzy Osbourne, R. Lee Ermey and Harald Hardraade.

I find it hilarious that most people who insult Pagans call them devil worshipers...... ::) :D :D

How is Thor more imaginary than any other god? Just because few people worship him anymore doesn't make him any less valid. One person's mythology is another's truth, and vice versa.

P.S. Thor is awesome, as my roommate's Halloween costume attests:

Well... to me, they're all imaginary regardless of how many worshippers they have, which is where I was going with the whole "imaginary status" thing. He's just as imaginary, unfortunately.

InflataThor! For those of us who don't have the massive, rippling biceps of the real Thor. I need to get one of those.

And don't forget Mjolnir.

You should see me in my Captain America costume. Hilarity.

Oh Jesus, a clown hammer. I'll be waiting like a man obsessed for them to be back in stock. I wonder how big it is... Now I can finally beat people without worrying about crippling them permanently.

Actually, it's made of light but durable wiffle bat-type plastic, about two feet long. The strap's not long enough to wrap around your wrist, though, so no magical flight capability.  :'(

Perfect. ;D The softer it is, the more passionately you can hit people.I have a bunch of replica medieval weapons but they're all just functional enough that they can do real damage to someone before they break.

It's always bugged me that Marvel's Thor is blonde, when all the Norse mythology books clearly state that he has red hair. But then nobody would call him Goldilocks, and that would be sad.

Quotecan worship large mouth bass for all I care and as long as he's a good person I will treat him with respect and consideration. On the other hand, if he's a putrid, pretentious fool I won't give him the time of day no matter what he believes.

i cant be both?
