We want to riff Twilight live - but we need your help!

RiffTrax recently did a poll of the Worst Movies of All Time. The clear winner: the dopey, sappy, sparkly vampire-and-werewolf romance known as... the TWILIGHT saga.

And what does TWILIGHT need more than anything else?

A good Riffing, LIVE, before a massive audience in a one-night event in movie theaters nationwide.

We want to do our Mystery Science Theater 3000-style funny commentary for TWILIGHT, broadcast LIVE over hundreds of movie screens in August 2013.  This Kickstarter is to help obtain the rights to TWILIGHT for that event!

I do hope they get the rights because most of the other films on their "worst" list don't excite me. Now if Moment by Moment was in second place instead of Batman and Robin....

Only thing that kind of bugs me about this is it sounds like they haven't approached Summit films in any way yet.  Someone did a little recon work and as at least approached them with this as an idea, right?

I'm hoping / figuring they did, at least for a ballpark "Hey, how much would we need to do this?"

Is it inappropriate to ask one of you global mods that's actually in the know to confirm this? I don't expect it as a promise, just more wondering if the feelers were actually put out into the world of Summit before embarking on this venture!!

At this rate, they should be over-subscribed by the end of the day.  By week's end, they should be able to afford Kristen Stewart as a guest riffer.

God, I love watching the numbers go up so fast on the Kickstarter page.  Kinda restores my faith in humanity.

Well since I work 2nd shift, and previous audio issues at the nearest theater about 20 miles from my locale, as well as the costs of theater tickets and snack costs.. I'll just have to hear about it I guess
