Just because the Emperor and his 2nd in command are dead and the Empire has taken a major blow doesn't mean the fight is over.  I don't know that the Rebels really have a plan for establishing a new galactic government.  Could be a heck of a lot of chaos now.  Sure there are plenty of stories to be told.  I for one look forward to this new series.
