Embedding a Music Player

[The Lurker]

How would you embed a music player on a post?  Or does the forum have trouble with something like this?

For example:  <iframe width="400" height="100" style="position: relative; display: block; width: 400px; height: 100px;" src="http://bandcamp.com/EmbeddedPlayer/v=2/track=2213447384/size=venti/bgcol=FFFFFF/linkcol=4285BB/" allowtransparency="true" frameborder="0">Mixtape - Stunner by Jake Kaufman</iframe>

Pretty sure you'd just extract the web address and surround it with flash tags like so:

Code Select Expand

[flash=400,100]http://bandcamp.com/EmbeddedPlayer/v=2/track=2213447384/size=venti/bgcol=FFFFFF/linkcol=4285BB[/flash]

http://bandcamp.com/EmbeddedPlayer/v=2/track=2213447384/size=venti/bgcol=FFFFFF/linkcol=4285BB

But I can't tell whether that worked or not because active content is blocked on my browser right now.

It did!

Hmm. I can't see it. It just looks like a white bar to me.

Hmm. Now that I'm home, it looks like it works in Firefox, but just shows up as a white bar in Internet Explorer.

Same thing for me, works fine in Firefox, but in IE8 it's a white box that says "movie not loaded" when I right click.

Interesting, looking at the source for the pages what you get in IE is quite different than Firefox, in IE there is nothing telling the browser it's a flash application, just a "movie" parameter.  Must be the forum software changing the code depending on what browser you are using?

white box in safari, too.

Doesn't seem to work in Chrome, either.
