It was an okay start to the season.  I liked the season 4 opener better.  The flash-forward was great.  Can't wait to see what that's all about.  Beneke looks like hell though.

It was an okay start to the season.  I liked the season 4 opener better.  The flash-forward was great.  Can't wait to see what that's all about.  Beneke looks like hell though.

I laughed so dang hard at Beneke. How far forward was it, I know it said he was 52, but how far away is that from where we are now?

I have no idea what will happen in the season that led to the Walter White beginning or how long it takes to get to that point, but this should get exciting.

I'm not sure.  The pilot took place on his 50th birthday, so not too far ahead.  I'm not sure how much time has actually elapsed.  Not all that much I don't think.  Hank's recuperation from his gunshot wounds probably took a long time.

One of the upcoming episodes (#3 I think) is titled Fifty One. I'm thinking that will be his 51st birthday, so the opening is a little over a year in the future, assuming I'm right about the meaning of the title. That's also assuming that it's actually his birthday in the flash forward. He has a fake ID so the birthdate might not be his real one, and the "52" could be a reference to something else entirely that we don't know about yet. Crazy that so little actual time has elapsed since Walt was just a mild mannered chemistry teacher.

From the comments I read from the actors and creator, this will be a really cool season with lots of stuff.   This will be a good two year, 16 episode thing.

And I noticed that the promos for Total Recall got smart and have more previews with Bryan talking.   Well duh.

Yeah he was using a fake ID, but I think he was telling the truth about the birthday thing.  He just muttered it as a sort of aside.  Also, he was arranging his bacon on the plate to spell out "52", mirroring the same thing he did on his 50th birthday in the pilot.

But the birthday on his fake id was the same as his real birthday, because he had to show id to get the free meal. Why would you do that?
