I want to go to the theaters tomorrow, is this movie worth going to?

Smith Dr John Smith

Isn't it yet another found footage movie?  If so I would say no.
Fave Rifftrax:The Room Fave MST3K:Manos
Fave DW story of last year:TAP/TRF.  Fave classic series story:Inferno
Fave film of 2011:Tie The Muppets/Tintin
Fave iRiff group:One wall cinema
Fave movie:Citizen Kane.
Still stuck on dial up.
Ignore me or report me.

No, it is not. I midnight showed it last night, because I'm OCD about that when it comes to new releases.

It's dull, it's uninspired (basically a poor Russian man's The Hills Have Eyes, and not in the fun way), it's not actually found footage but you wouldn't know it from the way the camera is jumping around (or even the sort of camera they used, which makes everything look really cheap), and the few good bits are given away in the trailer anyway.

So, skip it. Hunt around and see if Cabin in the Woods is still playing somewhere, that'll set you right.

Thank you, this is what I kind have read about it too.

I WILL see Cabin in the Woods!

The whole premise of this movie bugs me. I didn't think it was safe to go into Pripyat and any of the other surrounding villages (and obviously the reactor itself) without radioactive safety gear, yet the preview shows all the characters just wandering around casually dressed like they're not exploring a zone that won't be 100% safe for human habitation for the next hundred+ years or so. Maybe I'm just over thinking this, however. It's a movie and I should really just relax.

Maybe they plan on making a REAL zombie movie later from the current crew?

Poor guys.

This actually is addressed a bit in the film. It's said that radiation levels at the town have dropped enough to the point where it's safe to go in, although not for long periods of time. This part I actually think might be true, as I recall reading somewhere that folks have started to venture back into Pripyat. Not saying I'd do it myself, but I think it can be done.

They also pack a Geiger Counter along, but generally start to ignore it whenever it goes off (and I'm also not quite sure the movie understands how those things actually work). And, to spoil part of the end of the movie (which I put in spoiler quotes not out of any sort of respect for the film, but because that's who I am):

Aw man, I was looking forward to this and your opinion is one of the few on here I'd listen to.   Fingers crossed that Inbred is as good as it looks!
