Nice trailer!

Dicaprio looks different, he's put on weight or muscle since Inception I think?

Eh.  I've never really cared for Luhrmann's work.  Not even his ostensibly "good" films.  This trailer doesn't do much to convince me I'll think differently of this one, seeing as how it's got Luhrmann written all over every goddamned frame of it.

I'll just stay out of the way, I suppose, so everyone else can continue to be excited.
Correction: the coat hanger should be upside down.

It's been a long time since I've read The Great Gatsby... and this is the first I've heard of this movie adaptation... but I'm going to take a wild guess and say that the internets are already ablaze with talk of how this is a horrific bastardization of the great American novel.

You would be correct. I've been seeing talk about this movie a lot in the past few weeks.

I don't think I'd ever see it. I hated The Great Gatsby as a book.

I never cared for the novel either (blasphemy, I know!).  I think I'd rather re-read Slaughterhouse-Five or some other classic of American literature.

Did you know there's a video game version of The Great Gatsby that you can play on the net?  It's right here: http://greatgatsbygame.com/  .  It's pretty fun actually.

I can't wait for the video game versions of Atlas Shrugged and Crime and Punishment :)

Starman!

Jack White's cover of U2's song Love is Blindness is in the trailer. That's about the only good thing this trailer offers me.

It seems like this should have been directed by someone a little more subtle.

Atlas Shrugged:  The Video Game
Control a country-spanning railroad (variants for steel mill and oil field), only every time you make a good move, the AI arbitrarily intervenes against you and leaves you worse off than before.  Repeat again and again and again and again until you rage-quit.  And that's when you win.

The crazy thing is, I can see that almost working.  But just almost.
