It's kinda funny,  I was watching the punisher on tv earlier this year and the audio went screwy with a slight power surge right as Thomas Jane said "it's punishment/"  at the end.  I swear he said the word "tournament" just like Lambert in Mortal Kombat.   That sealed the deal for me as these two being the same person.
