Hello!

I've been a Rifftrax fan for two years, and didn't realize there was a forum here.  Hmm.  Anyway, nice to meet you all, so to speak.  I've been a fan of riffing since I was introduced to it in the summer of 1996, while lucking into MST3K one afternoon on Comedy Central.  I caught the last 30 minutes of Deathstalker.  Hooked from there.

Not too sure how to start uploading iRiffs.  I'm signed up but haven't sent the W9 in.  Been searching the forum, I guess I'm not looking in the right places.  Anyone know of a good FAQ for it?  Also, how do you join an iRiffs group?  Moreover, how do you make one?  Any help is appreciated.

We've got a few iRiffs for free viewing on YouTube.  Enjoy at your own risk.

When you're signed in on the main page, go to "my account" in the upper right corner of the screen.  From there you should see a screen with headings on the top called "View" "3rd Party Identities" "Bookmarks" etc.  The last one on that row is "Selling".  Click it.

This should take you to a "Sales Summary" screen, with a new row of buttons that read "Summary" "By Product" etc.  Most importantly for you are two buttons that say "Add New iRiff" and "Create New iRiff group."

At least that's what I see on my account.  If you can't access this, it might not show up for you until after they get your W9.

This link is probably the best place for you to go right now.

In the coming weeks/months some of this may change while I work on a big site upgrade. Thanks for the helpful answers, Ronin!

Looking forward especially to what you did with "This Charming Couple", as it was my final iRiff. Welcome aboard!

Thanks!  I think "The Procrastinator" is the best to date.  It flowed better.  Darn Youtube 15 min limit, I had to break up "This Charming Couple" into two (appropriately enough) but I made up for it, I think, in the intro to the second part.  Working on a full-length riff of the 1994 movie Oblivion, as it was a suggestion from a friend.

Another question, concerning this topic:  Will Rifftrax not like if I were to post both free iRiffs of the shorts we do to Youtube and also sell them on the site?  It would be bad for business, I know, I've never read anywhere it can't be done...

You still own your own riffs, even if Rifftrax is selling them on your behalf, so there's nothing that says you can't have them in both places.  If you put a little planning into it, you might be able to make it work business-wise too.  Take the shorts you have up for free, then package them together, maybe with higher quality video or with bonus shorts exclusive to iRiffs.  That way you have a more extensive preview to get people interested for free, and they'll want to pay to see the new stuff.  Just a thought.

Also, you should be able to re-upload That Charming Couple as a full video now. Mine was.

Any chance one of those upgrade could include a system for rembering my debit card number like Amazon does so that I don't have to enter it every time I buy a track?
