The Return of Riffchat IRC

This thread pre-modified, renamed and bumped back to first page... It is official, folks, I'm bringing back the IRC chatroom for all our Riff chatting needs!

How it'll look:

Keep in mind, after clicking to join, you'll need to be patient until the Java IRC finishes taking you to the main chat, it'll take you through a functions screen, an idle chat screen, then finaly to the main RiffChat room...

Also, there is still much to do to the chat.. the images used in the html java chat can be changed, and I will be changing them as time progresses...

Now, if you have IRC software, and prefer to chat through that software, I have kept the information for joining in tact (just below here) ... also, if you know of any good IRC software to be used here, let me know, and I'll add it to the list...

(note to recent users, the server has been changed... be sure to change this information in your connection preference)

I'll have to check it out when I get home. Any chance of doing some group riffings ala peanut gallery? But instead of someone hosting the video, we would just all have to get it and then start it at the same time.

The chat is fine with a real IRC client... it seems to work pretty darn well.

the Java chat has a problem about booting at random.. which is why I abandoned it

Trillian isnt such a bad choice... the software lets you use other chat programs such as AIM and the likes..

but again.. I prefer X-Chat
