My only complaint, occasionally appearing in the Thumbalina segment, is when they snack on that old riffing comfort food of simply screaming in faux-terror or asking if they were dead. Maybe I've just watched too much MST3K over the years and I'm not shocked anymore by whatever bizarre unintentional mindfucks these old Z-movies try to throw down. I'm sure mileage will very when Kevin screams "AAAARRGGHGHH!" when poorly made, hideous looking insect costumes prance on screen... but they don't get much of a laugh from me anymore... Not after what I've willfully subjected myself to over the last 15+ years of watching MST3K. But as I said, these are only a few select moments here and there.... and if I were forced to watch this thing a half dozen times in order to write the script, I might scream in terror as well without any comedic intentions. That said, I thought the movie provided a decent level of WTF riff fuel and the guys took advantage. This didn't strike me as one of their top efforts overall, but it's generally consistent with plenty of laugh out loud gems sprinkled throughout. I gave it an 8.

Best RiffTrax ever, in my book. The firetruck scene killed me...

It'd be nice if the guys started adding a little face-time wrap-up on at least some of these DVD releases. This film just abruptly ends, with no ending credits to talk over or anything... and I deeply needed to hear a "WTF did we just watch?" post-mortem from Mike, Kevin and Bill.

For closure.

I agree, the ending was pretty abrupt. I liked how they riffed over the end credits for Birdemic. Reminded me of the MST3K days. I don't think any other riff has done that except Roadhouse. Like you said, there were no end credits to riff in this one, but some sort of epilogue would have been nice.

On a similar subject, I wish the VoD riffs had intros. Maniac has one, but AFAIK it's the only one that does.

At first, I was traumatically bored with the 21 minutes of sweaty santa whining about the Florida heat.  Then the "I asked for a blonde.....SQUISH" had me laughing so hard I started coughing.  Then the last 10 minutes had me in tears.  I rewatched the blonde bit like 3 times.

AbsoluteDeicide

Probably one of the strangest films I've ever seen.  It made a great Rifftrax, though!  Right up there with my favorite MST3K episodes.  Great job, guys.

So finally got around to watching this one to warm up for Xmas. I gave it a 9. It's just maybe one step away from being a classic classic. I thought the Thumbelina section was a bit slow at times...but, my God, the sheep scene. Wow.

Maybe the live show will knock this out of the ballpark for me.

Magic Christmas Tree is good, but THIS is still the definitive Christmas movie of our generation.

Smith Dr John Smith

I give the movie a 1 and the riffing a ten.

I just can't believe this movie was made by humans, seems like the type of movie evil sharks who hate children would make.

Hobo Santa is the most frightening monster in the history of film.
