I HATE Terminator 3 with a passion so i can't wait to hear Mike & Kevin ripps this apart

I thought it was all right. Definitely better than the second one with the annoying kid. Still, T3 is very much a big dumb action movie. I still maintain that the first film was genuinely great. I wouldn't mind at all seeing any of 'em get riffed.
This iRiff will only be on sale for another few hours. Get it while it's cheap!

T3 is a deliciously dumb action film....just great lazy sunday material. But of course, we are LONG overdue on an Arnold riff, so I can't wait.

But you are right, in comparison with T2, T3 just seemed unnecessary.

Outstanding. This is what I voted for on the front page.  And thankfully I already have it.

This shall be my first HD Rifftrax.  Perhaps the pristine picture quality will make the funny multiply.
Most wanted: 1. The Wizard (1989) 2. Karate Kid III (1989) 3. Rocky IV (1985) 4. Rocky V (1990) 5. Masters of the Universe (1987) 6. Mortal Kombat: Annihilation (1997) 7. No Holds Barred (1989) 8. Total Recall (1990) 09. Garbage Pail Kids (1987) 10. The Running Man (1987)

I'm all for a Schwarzenegger Riff, but I was hoping it'd be one of his more cheeztastic films. T3's more of a Nick Stahl movie with a special appearance by Arnold. (That may just be the first time anyone's said "Nick Stahl movie.") But hey, at least I already own it. I dunno why, but I do.

That's a bit of a stretch.  Arnold is in the entire movie, and has almost as much screen time as Stahl.

I actually really like this movie, and felt like it rounded off the Terminator storyline quite well.  I really hope Kevin's first riff isn't "Terminator 3; Jonathan Mostow RUINS the franchise!" because I thought he did a great job with it....the car chase alone is worth the price of admission.

First RiffTrax I've really looked forward to in a while.  I didn't care for T3 at all and prior to seeing this as the next movie, I had zero desire to see it again.

Is it just me, or is that poster perfect size for DVD cover?  So very tempting to go buy toner for my printer...

Yeah, Arnold's got plenty of screentime, but it's not the real Arnold we love - he's actually pretty good in the Terminator movies. I dunno if he's trying to act like a robot or if he knows enough just not to act at all, but he plays a killer robot well, and dammit, I don't want to see Arnold acting well in a part that fits him. I want cheez like only Schwarzenegger can deliver.

I like the story the movie tells, and what it adds to the Terminator mythology, so to speak, but I found Mostow's action pretty weak - it really made me appreciate James Cameron's talent for blowing stuff up. I found the whole crane/fire truck chase sequence pretty boring, especially when you consider that it doesn't advance the plot at all. I love the ending, though.

I don't think mostow did too bad with this one. It would be a stretch to say that the first film oozed with depth and complexity. Heck, at least the TX made more sense than a sentient piece of liquid metal

sarcasm_made_Easy

liquid metal could work, just really complex nanomachines all working together right?

macleod

Yeah, until the whole "shatter and reintegrate thing"...at that point, it began to lose me. Although I do love T2, that always seemed way, way out there (especially when you consider that the TX is much easier to kill than was the T2000)

Oh crap, I got a TX following me. Anyone got a hydraulic press? OK, we're fine then. ;)

sarcasm_made_Easy

i still dont like the whole "change the past affect the future" logic that star trek and terminator perscribe to.  I like the douglas adams " you cant change the past because you already changed it" logic.

macleod

Well, the whole thing is pretty much a paradox, and I don't think one piece of science fiction has ever handled the fictive notion of time travel with the cosmic significance it would have....maybe perhaps excepting that one Simpsons episode....

sarcasm_made_Easy

its a paradox but so is the whole multiple timelines thing too.
