Right, Prentus sent her as life insurance... even though she's terrible at everything other than driving, unless there's a secret spy hand to hand combat technique of jumping on assailants backs and being swung around like a hulahoop...  So was Borgnines real daughter a veterinarian?  Was the feeding lions and handling snakes things just part of her cover?  Oh god... this movie is treating my frontal lobe like a speedbag...

To be fair, in the 70s/80s there were a lot of Cuban "advisors" running around Africa. (In Angola, for example.) And the Soviets were everywhere in the Cold war.
