I didn't get a Sync file with mine. Is it one of these DVDs:

QuoteQ: Are there any DVDs that just won't play?
Yes, unfortunately. As of this writing (March 31, 2011), the following discs are not yet playable by the Riffplayer:  Casino Royale, Last Airbender, The Dark Knight, Star Trek (2009).
QuoteSome DVD copy protection uses "junk data" that makes it hard for our player to play the DVD.

Or did a Sync file mysteriously elude my ZIP file?

Sorry, the Thor DVD has a new form of copy protection that won't let it work with the player.  Currently at least. Hopefully the programmer can find a work around, for now, there's no sync file.

Copy protection really seems to be working for them too, don't think there's any Thor rips floating around the internet... ::)

I was able to rip it on my Mac the day it came out. Working on my reauthor now.

The current DVDFab should work. http://www.dvdfab.com/download.htm

Ripping it isn't the issue - it's getting the player to read the DVD properly; which isn't happening due to the new copy protection that Paramount is using. We could rip it, make a DVD ourselves and write a sync file, but because of the rip method it would only work for those who used the same (illegal) process which (we don't and can't support) and it doesn't resolve the original issue of getting the retail disc to work - which is the whole point of the player: simplicity.
Any issues with the RiffTrax main page should be directed to support@rifftrax.com Attempts to engage with me directly about such matters will result in ridicule.

You could just move your HQ on a floating barge in international waters.......
