QuoteHere is the thing.  Star wars is one of those movies that people who study films have to see if they are to understand how films were made after it.

Ok i know i am not a film student or anything, but i have to know how did you come to that conclusion?

People did study star wars, but in it's original title "sanjuro" by Kurosawa

Hidden Fortress.  Star Wars is not in itself worthy of that much study artistically, but its impact (along with Jaws) in the way films are distributed and how it changed the studios approach in making films is certainly interesting and of importance.

My bad, I meant Hidden Fortress.    Sigh, another promising joke murdered.

Doctor Who?

And i don't think you can understand why it had the impact it had if you don't see the original effect and editing and compare then to what came before.

I would say nine times out of ten when i meet someone who doesn't understand why Star Wars had such an impact that person has only seen the prequels or the SEs.

I know why it had an impact but i still dont think it was because it was a "good film".

NOOOOOO! NOOOOOO!

Or as they say in China,

DO NOT WANT

Okay this is an honest question is the reason why it translated that way that there is no word for no in Chinese so every time you want to say no in Chinese do you have to say something clunky like "do not want"?

Sideswipe

I love that they translate the Jedi Council to Presbyterian Church.

I was bieng threated with death by wolf raping before it was cool!.

Actually that is correct.  Mandarin has no word for yes and no.  They answer a question for example Have you eaten yet " Ni Chi le ma?"  pronounced Nee chur la ma?  They would answer that with either affirmative eaten=   chi  (chur) or negative eaten Bu chi (boo chur).  You take the verb and either make it yes (which you can do by simply repeating the verb) or adding bu for negative then the verb.  (you can kinda just say bu but thats casual)  so the verb for IS =shi (sure)  the closest to the actual no as in no i dont like the way things are or NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO would be negative IS  (bu shi)
