Finally got around to viewing this one.

It was great! I might even have to say that it was my favorite so far.

LadyKenobi

It's absolutley one of the most underrated-- the only Rifftrax I've seen three times, as a matter of fact.

Fuzzy Necromancer

I dunno. This rifftrax just didn't amuse me that much. =/

I think that Top Gun was a hollywood remake of "The Starfighters" presented as an action movie.
Love doesn't hurt. It kills.

"Where there's smoke, there's a smoke-making machine."

This was one of those that I wasn't really thrilled with on first viewing, but after a second viewing...WOW!  One of my favorites.  It's SOOOO funny.  And I was amazed at how really gay the movie is.  I mean, not that there is anything WRONG with that, but it was a really gay movie.  I have gay friends and they always told me that "Top Gun" is like an iconic movie for them and I just thought it was because of Cruise and dismissed it, but after seeing it... man!  It seems to be pandering directly to a gay audience while pretending to be macho straight.  It's a movie in the closet!

Mike and Bill were just on fire!  Wait... nevermind... they were really good, is all I'm trying to say...
Hi!  I'm Randy and I'm a Riffaholic...

We only DL'd this one because Top Gun was the only Riffed movie at the rental store we hadn't seen, so we didn't have high expectations but we really wound up liking this one.  The suggested nicknames for non-existant pilots particularly had us laughing.

Well done!

I really liked it . . . the very non-pc riff from Bill when he, just as the subtitle appears: "Somewhere in the Indian Ocean", questions "Is that Woo-Woo Indians or dot-head Indians?"

I agree, there's been a lot of that kind of humor throughout rifftrax, Murphy being my favorite purveyor. When Morpheus was first shown in the Matrix, donning his ornate leather suite, Kevin chimed in: "It's 'Biggie,' the first black Pontiff!"

It's refreshing really, merely using this kind of humor flies in the face of taboo and is (often) funny on that merit alone.

Yeah, the more non PC the better in my opinion, haha.

I was bieng threated with death by wolf raping before it was cool!.

Just watched this today. I had an awesome time! Easily two of my favorite riffs:

Maverick: "Talk to me Goose...talk to me."
Riff: "Honk, honk honk!"

Bill during a particularly emotion Cruise moment: "THAT's what I like...acting I can SEE!"

Although I'm new to RiffTrax, I'm a long time MST3K fan.  "Top Gun" was my first riff.  I thought it was excellent stuff.

I'm looking forward to watching some of the riffs you guys have ranked even higher.

Talk to me Goose, talk to me! 'Honk honk hooonk....'  ;D

This 'trax was HILARIOUS!!
