I think so!

OK, I haven't watched the two classic ones yet, but this is the one that convinced me that Rifftrax is going to be worth my money!

I loved Roadhouse and quite enjoyed The Fifth Element, but it's all about Star Trek V!

I can't wait to find out what the next Rifftrax will be!
FINE

I think of Star Trek V differently because it has a guest.

I agree, the addition of Kevin makes it just soooo much closer to a new MST3K episode.  I can't stop watching it.  Seriously, I can't... I need help... please help me...

Anyways, I agree-- BEST YET, although it's hard to decide.  It's like asking which is your favorite MST3K, I mean, damn... it's like trying to choose a favorite child, or something.  I think.  I don't know.  I don't even have kids.  I mean, I've been married for 22 years, I figured the kids would come in the mail, or something.  I mean, where do people get the damn things?  I got married and all, I mean, what's up with that?  Don't you supposed to get kids when you marry up a woman?

Well, that's really none of your business.  But thanks for asking!  Wait... oh right, Star Trek V, yes very, very good stuff.

Nope. To be honest its a very close second.

I still think Road House was the funniest one yet. I think this because the type of movie it is, and the fact that Mike 'wanted it bad'.

Just my 2 cents...

I think Star Trek V is one of the worst movies I have EVER seen.

I agree with that!  I havn't seen Star Trek V since it was in the theater and whooo-boy does it stink. As far as Rifftrax go though Roadhouse is the king IMO.

"Bullshit, captain."

I'm sorry, I couldn't resist. In all seriousness, though, STV is easily my favorite of the three. Then again, I'm a Star Trek fan to begin with, so this one was right up my alley. But don't get me wrong, the quality of riffs for all three movies so far have been on par with any of the best episodes of MST3K. At least for me. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off put my hair up in a boner and enjoy a good mug of filth.
...but what do I know?

Rude

I don't know...

Maybe i built it up so much that it fell a little flat for me or something. Ya' know... there was Star Trek's 40th Anniversary this weekend, the Shatner Roast, the fact that i actually ordered and *waited* for STV to arrive by mail... and Kevin was the first guest!

But i really think that Star Trek V is so horrible, nothing can make that movie entertaining. Sure, i laughed quite a bit... but then the pain was always there, waiting for me. Not even painkillers and alcohol helped (seriously).

So, my vote is for Roadhouse. Best Rifftrax so far. Maybe it's the non-science fiction element... maybe it's because it was the first. Maybe it's just Swayze at "his most shirtless"... gross. Whatever it was; do more of it and i'll be happy!

No question about it. The others were outstanding but STV was in another world. Ihaven't laighed this hard since MST was on the air.

I think the common thing that people will do/have done, is get 'blinded by the light' with Star Trek V. Just because Kevin joins Mike doesn't mean that this one is the funniest. I'm affraid that people will automatically assume that this one is the best because Kevin is in on it.

I'm not knocking Kevin; he was great and having Kevin join in was a dream come true and gave the RiffTrax much more variety. I really enjoyed it and recommend it to anyone.

However, I think the jokes and riffing on Road House were just funnier.

When Kevin, (I think it was he that said it), did the "Bullsh*t, Captain" I literally fell off the couch.  That was so funny and so out of the blue, plus it matched the strange, pained expression on Spock's face so perfectly that it just floored me.  It made the whole thing for me.  My friend, who was watching it with me, almost shot beer out of his nose.  I'm laughing now just thinking about it.

But that was the cherry on top as everything else was just so freakin funny.  Yeah, gotta be my favorite so far.  Although, they have been good to chose movies that are unintentionally funny to begin with.  even without the riffs, "Road House", "Fifth Element" and STV are just laugh-out-loud bad.  It was always harder on the show when they had to use a movie that was drearily bad.  Like "Hobgoblins", man! they did their best and they had some funny moments, but that movie was just so horrible that all the riffing in the world couldn't make it watchable.  "Creeping Terror" and "Monster A GO GO" are two leading contenders for that dubious crown, as well.  (Damn! Another pompous-ass sentence from me!  Sorry about that, don't know why I can't stop writing like a self important TV critic.  I'm usually not like this, really.  I guess I just have to get back into the flow of casual forum postings.  It's been awhile; please bear with me...)

Not true for me. When I say I think something is funnier it's because I laughed more. That final half hour of STV had me doubled over. As funny as RH was, I never received that kind of sustained, non stop hilarity.

And yet I was the opposite. I couldnt stop laughing at RH and STV didn't get non stop laughing from me.

Oh well, "to each his own".

I'm sure by the time a few months goes by, there'll be something riffed on to suit everyone's tastes. :D

(I have personally loved everything so far, though I found Reefer Madness a bit painful to get through)

Yes, I would agree that STV was the best commentary yet.  The concept works so much better when there is another person to play off of.  I haven't laughed at a commentary like that since the reenactor riffs from "Time Travalers" on MST3K
" A woman who takes her husband about with her everywhere is like a cat that goes on playing with a mouse long after she's killed it." SAKI
