8) Neverending Story 2 (it ruined my life)
I forgot that movie, thanks a lot  :( the person that made that should be shot, actually that would be being nice, tortured then shot.

I must also agree, troll 2, wow, I had never gotten that angry over a movie in a while. I think thats the worst movie I've ever seen and hopefully will ever see......please dont top it wicker man!
The Ood: The Beast and his armies will rise from the pit to make war against God.
Rose: I'm sorry?
The Ood: Apologies. I said: I hope you enjoy your meal.

Quote6) Any Disney film made in the last 20 years that did not involve PIXAR (and no. No one on this board will change my mind. Sorry.)

wow the fact that you think beauty and the beast (the only animated to ever be nominated for best picture), the little mermaid AND the lion king are WORSE than double dragon and never ending story 2 is staggering.  Truly staggering.

Believe it or not. That's how I roll, baby!

But I've got my reasons. They'd take up their own thread, but I've got em.

Quicksilver, I was very close to throwing one of my weights at the TV because of Troll 2. Pak had to stop me.

please do, explain, i promise not to turn it into a HUGE debate.  But i am curious,  especially since things like pocahontis and brother bear, and chicken little exist, how can the three i named be that bad?

Minnesota

boondock saints is COOL, so is matrix1, donny darko, disney movies, ep2, antz, over the hedge, the grudge, sin city, titan ae, saw1, lotr3, id4, and kill bill

sarcasm_made_Easy

Its funny how much personal opinions varies.  example:

Quoteboondock saints is COOL, so is matrix1, donny darko, disney movies, ep2, antz, over the hedge, the grudge, sin city, titan ae, saw1, lotr3, id4, and kill bill

I disagree with minnesota on over the hedge, antz, sin city, and kill bill

(i dont know what id4 is)

This whole thread is completely useless in retrospect lol

Minnesota

id4 = independence day, i've got a soft spot for it (still want to see it riffed this summer though)

Well its hard to discuss so many movies at once, hell mearly trying to defend a couple of movies I forgot to list borne identity, waynes world2 and several others as COOL.

aww, well just bitchn, there are plenty of movies listed that I agree with

sarcasm_made_Easy

i also think no one can bitch about never ending story 2 until they have witnessed the horror of never ending story 3.

My bottom 100:

4. xXx (XXXXTREEME! If Rob Liefield was a movie, it would be this.)

That is one of the best things I have ever read.

BTW, if you love to bag on Liefeld (and who doesn't, really?), here's a couple of addresses:

The Little Mermaid and the Lion King? Why don't you just tell us you hate Santa Claus?

hahah!

10. Forrest Gump (This one is partly anger about the Academy Awards, part anger over the pointlessly gimmick heavy plot set up to disguise the weakness of a character incapable of development, and part utter hatred for the movies implication that thinking for yourself gets you AIDS.)

ummm..how did you get the message that "thinking for yourself gets you AIDS" out of this movie?  i thought the message was "you sleep around & do drugs & other dangerous activities looking for a false sense of happiness & you might pay the price"

I found those movies (with the exception of Little Mermaid, because I've never seen it) blase', predictable, and adhering to tired and overused formula in terms of storyline and characterization. I've never understood why those movies are considered to be so great when they barely registered a 2 in my 'greatness' scale-o-meter on a 1-10 setting.

But those aren't the only reasons I didn't care for them (namely because those reasons are subjective and I'm willing to admit that). I took on a more and more anti-Disney stance the more the company began moving away from traditional animation and, frankly, when it developed the audacity to make -sequels- to its classic movie line (most of which based on fairytales). So not only did I hold absolutely no interest whatsoever to its products, I also lost respect/interest in the company itself, my dislike turning into genuine hatred when Mike Eisner announce Disney would go to CGI (NO reason why the ballroom scene in B&B was partially rendered in CGI. No reason). I wept inside when I thought of my beloved Bambi and Snow White going by the wayside since I've never stopped loving classic Disney.

Since the announcement of PIXAR renovating Disney back into a traditional animation company (and Mike Eisner leaving. My friend's sister worked for him and she confirmed that he was a class A jerk), my hatred has cooled somewhat and, for the first time in years, I feel somewhat optimistic of what the company has to offer. But I think the other movies still suck so that doesn't change anything.

I think the most annoying aspect of the whole Disney thing is that people are always shocked or disbelieving that I and other people don't like these movies. I think it's like any other movie: some people like it, some people don't. Everyone has a reason for both. But just because it has Lion and/or King in the title doesn't mean it's a good movie automatically.

Lastly, this is just MY opinion. I know a lot of folks out there think Disney's recent stuff is brilliant, but...well...my opinion was asked for.  :)

This is one area where me and my wife come to blows. I support everything Disney did from the beginning all the way through Lilo and Stitch. I never saw Chicken Little because it represented the death of traditional animation. If Disney can just bring something to the table that looks better than Brother Bear (The only traditionally animated Disney flick I've never been able to bring myself to watch) then I may hop right back on Disney's wagon. :^)

Oh dont misunderstand me, I agree with a HUGE part of your post, but the early 80s specifically the three movies i already said (and aladdin which i forgot) were good, but i cant think of ANYTHING worth see after that.  I mean it, the second i saw they were doing a sequal for one of their animated movies a part of me literally died.  Died i say.

ps of course they were predictable they are the disney version of a grim fairy tale that had already existed  :P

Nothing disney has done recently has been any good.  Everything PIXAR has done has been very good.  Just because disney can slap its name on the movie doesnt mean i think they made it.

Oh yeah. The direct-to-video Disney sequels all equate to a thousand daggers to my heart and I won't watch 'em. Except for the Aladdin ones, but there was more to TELL with Aladdin. Every other Disney Movie ends with "Happily Ever After" and that's all I ever want to know. :^)

sarcasm_made_Easy

I disagree, i dont think there was anything at all to tell past the ending of aladdin.

I just can't believe you seriously PAYED MONEY for those Aladdin sequels. I should have married you a lot sooner, so I could have stopped you.
