Canadian funnyman and actor Leslie Nielsen has passed away in hospital in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

The star of comedy hits such as "Airplane" and the "Naked Gun" series dies of complications from pneumonia, according to his nephew Doug Nielsen, who lives in Richmond...

Aw man, and he was one of my favorite funny actors of all time

He'll certainly be missed here. Airplane was one of my favorite comedies for years and I still watch it at least once a year. Brilliant comedic timing and a perfect deadpan delivery. Also I need to see more of his more serious roles. He was the best part of the first Creepshow for me.

BTW, IMDb doesn't seem to think that this is newsworthy....at least not as much as the fact that a couple of contestants from Amazing Race are knocked up and that Dane Cook tweeted that he wants to hit on Eva Longoria already....
