Interesting, a live action JLA... But will Christian Bale portray Batman? I'd really like to see Martian manhunter, Green Lantern and Green arrow in the movie but I don't think that's gonna happen.

mrbasehart

That might be pretty cool, though with all the groundwork laid for the Marvel Universe, I'd be more interested in an Avengers movie.

Variety of Cells

Gah, I happened to catch part of that Justice league episode of Smallville, completely on accident mind you.  It saw sooooo bad.  The acting was horrible, the script was even worse, and the action was pointless.  If the movie is anything like that at all, I won't come within a mile of a theater while that is playing.

Well maybe if it's written by Chris Nolan maybe it'll be good  ;D

Trufire

Looks like it could be interesting. It will need a good plot though. Now if Lex Luthor is a main villian (and he should be if Superman is in it) which actor shall portray him. Black....White? Old? Young?

Objection your honor!  I'd like to take this opportunity to introduce the following clips of the 1997 CBS unaired pilot 'Justice League of America' as exhibit A:

If they could get the right young actors to portray lesser known characters like Flash and Green Lantern and have them interact with Superman and Batman, it might lead to more recognition for those characters, giving their potential solo spin-offs a better chance for success.  Not that that really helped Catwoman or Elektra, but does anything really help if the script sucks?
How can they do that many characters with at least a few A-list names and not have a budget that would make the whole thing impossibly expensive?  I wish they could just cross-over Superman and Batman first before they try to assemble a large team.  Guess we can just sit back and see what happens.
Just don't use Vibe or Gypsy.

Johnny,  Thanks for posting those clips.  Proves you can't do that kind of show on a $1.50 budget.  I couldn't place the blond girl until I saw her name but then recognized that Kim Oja was a regular on "Son of the Beach" on fX.   What a heroic moment for the Flash when he just stands there watching the tidal wave barrel down on all those kids he has apparently decided he can do nothing to help.

Edit:  I forgot my favorite wtf moment.  Green Lantern slowly flies away and you hear the sound of a helicopter before they show us that GL had used copter blades for his flying.  If they thought that was a better visual they were mistaken.

Yeah, I mean previously he dissipated a hurricane by running around it in the opposite direction.  Perhaps if he'd done something about the wave first, he wouldn't have needed to 'rescue' all those kids... Who knows, maybe if the Atom wasn't busy rescuing cats from under porches, he could've shrunk the wave, lol  But what a world, to be a supervillian, you don't need a flashy name, "Gee, I have the ability to manipulate the weather, I guess I'll call myself 'the Weather Man'" (wasn't the Weather Wizard, one of Flash's 'Rogue's Gallery' already doing this schtick?) you don't need a flashy costume.  You don't even need a secret base of operations, just hookup your weather controlling device/laptop to the nearest TV, radio, microwave relay antenna, and you're set for world domination. and if a hero, say, Green Lantern tries to interfere, and threatens you with a large glowing green chainsaw, just chuck your device/laptop into the valley below.  I mean it's not like he could just fly down there and catch it or anything...
...oh wait, nevermind...

On the plus side I came across this trailer for 'Grayson'...

I have this on VHS. I'm so ashamed.

Why you gots to be Gypsy-hatin'? Barefoot superheroes are AWESOME. If I had designed Spider-Man, he'd be barefoot (there is not even the hint of a reasonable explanation why he should be able to stick to walls through his costume).

For those of you who don't already know, keep in mind that the Grayson trailer, like the World's Finest trailer and Batman: Dead End that came before it, are fan projects of Sandy Collara, and don't represent actual projects in the works.

Bob

So the entire Grayson movie is only a trailer made in 2004 and that is all it was ever meant to be?

Man, too bad they never made it a movie, it looked good.

Eh. For my money, I'd be delighted if they just gave Bruce Timm and Paul Dini a dumptruck full of money, and told them to show up in two years with a finished Justice League animated movie.
