Indeed, I've not got it yet but I did get the Riley one-shot. Sam looks, well, I could definitely choose her over Buffy, in it.

...hahahaha, the Master's back! Is he alive or are we gonna do some time-traveling again?

The first book of S8's final act  was wonderful despite just how out-of-character Buffy is at the moment. It's very odd...Buffy's "weirdest, bestest, weirdest best day of my life" comment...really? She's given Angel amnesty for everything he's caused all the while forgetting what she helped open?? It just cannot be and has to be the architect's influence of this grand scheme.

Spike's the voice-of-reason? Wow, have things changed for the better. 

I also liked how Spike knew the "Twilight" figure was Angel from the one photo he saw.

The "seed of wonder", that was referenced very briefly earlier in the season, right?

I know that technically Angel isn't a "man", but having "Man's best friend" talking him into ending humanity was a neat & clever use of irony. And the dog, could it possibly be the Powers That Be? Call-backs to "complicated" and "chosen", Willow turning Angel into a frog temporarily, Warren/Amy making out much to the delight of Giles, and the consequences stemming from the universe Buffy/Angel created and ditched. All sorts of fun stuff...


...but Buffy's head, it looked as if she was in the beginning of melting down while Spike was telling her what's what, and "it can't be Buffy is she doesn't bonk the bad guy, right?"

Welcome back, Spike! I cannot wait until the next book.

Why on EARTH are these not available for digital download from Dark Horse?

I was under the guise Faith was getting her own run, but to team her up w/ Angel in the aftermath of the final conflict in Season 8 is genius. It has massive potential. Especially w/ the Angel/Faith synergy/roles from Season 1 of Angel being flipped around. Neat!
