Yep, the ones I'm waiting on are the first three serials of season one, in point of fact...

On a separate note, I was replying to a PM from BBQ, who was kind enough to offer aid in helping me get into character.  Sadly I was in the midst of thanking him, as well as explaining my 'take' on my character...

So I kept getting 'an error has occurred' every to just on the off chance that he didn't get my first attempt at a PM here goes something...

I started typing a reply when I abruptly got bumped off the internet.  I hope this didn't end up being a duplicate post, Anyhue, here goes something:

Thanks, while that's appreciated, (the Doctor Who clip) I think it's possible that that episode/serial is near the very top of my Netflix queue.  That and the fact that due to budgetary constraints, I am still using the Windows ME laptop that, sadly doesn't have audio playback capability.

The 'twist I was thinking of is this: The time lord in the incarnation that I will be using travels to present day Earth.  There he meets a former Bay Area police detective, turned civilian police consultant.  During his stay, the time lord is attacked while in the company of the detective.  Both are severely wounded, the detective, nearly fatally. 

Using his abilities, the time lord places the detective's body in suspended animation, and merges his consciousness with his own. The result of doing so so soon after regenerating, causes the detective's personality to take control from time to time.  Because he/they are concerned for his assistant Sharona's well being, and because she seems to be the only one who can tolerate his/their personality 'quirks'  she is badgered into agreeing at least temporarily into being his/their 'companion' (at least until the detective' mind and body can be safely reunited.



And so it is that the time lord known as 'The Monk'  becomes 'Mr. Monk'...

I say go for it. The purpose of this game is to have fun, after all.

Presumably, the Monk travels to San Francisco to cause some sort of temporal mischief and attracts the suspicion of the SFPD.

Good, since no one has picked him yet, i'll be the Master.  Though, i'll let the crowd decide, which incarnation?  Delgado Master, Simm Master, Cacklin' Mad Ainley, or Crispy Master?( The Eric Roberts Master is right out, fuck that shit.)  How do i decide?!!!!

Basically, there are two main classes of players, citizens and Mafia (with Mafia being divided into two "families").  Each are trying to be the only group remaining.  The citizens try to guess who the mafia members are and vote off one person per round. Between rounds, each mafia family gets one hit.  In addition, there are specialists, like Informants (who try to root out Mafia members) and Vigilantes (who try to kill them).
