I learned that .. Honestly, I don't think I learned a damned thing! :scared:

I learned that this film hasn't improved over the years. At all. It's like the prototype of every Lifetime movie ever mind, minus the kidnapped daughters and the abusive husbands. Seriously, I had trouble making it through the film.

OTH, I realized that Bubble Boy was almost as likable as Todd.

Edit: And from re-watching the credits, I learned that PJ Soles was in it. Yay.

BTW: Nice Easter egg at the end there.

Okay, I did learn something from looking at wikipedia:

QuoteThe film had a personal impact on Travolta and Hyland, who began a six-month romantic relationship after the film ended principal photography.

Hyland is the mom in the movie. Ewwww......

She played Debbie the one in the wedding gown at high school.

Something tells me Robert Reed wouldn't have been interested anyway.

I learned I have a weird thing for crazy-eyed girls from the 70's...

Is there a ranking thread yet!?  I wanna give this a 10.
...and there he was, reigning supreme at number two.  The One... The Only... The Unabeefer.

I learned that, while Todd's mother apparently doesn't age at all, Gina's mother ages horrifically.

Also, the last time I saw this movie was decades ago, and I didn't notice or care about this at the time, but... I learned Gina has a really fantastic rack.

Same here :)

Actually I did learn something real thanks to watching this. It prompted me to look up the real boy that inspired this movie. Turns out there were two, and sadly neither of them had a happy ending. David Vetter died of cancer at age 12 thanks to a failed bone marrow transplant, and Ted DeVita died at 18, of iron poisoning from too many transfusions :(

goflyblind

i learned that rifftrax will sink to the low of putting an advertisement at the end of the movie. >:(

edit: life no longer has any meaning for me. :(

You would prefer the usual, often complained about, standard slate?

It's a relevant promo for an upcoming event that we're doing...not like we put a Pepsi ad in there.
Any issues with the RiffTrax main page should be directed to support@rifftrax.com Attempts to engage with me directly about such matters will result in ridicule.

It would more likely be an ad for Stone Brewery. *cough* unpaid, and basically just us tech grunts on camera drinking. *cough*

Well Darn, guess I'm out :(

Well, I didn't care about the ad for Reefer Madness Live (though it did surprise me), but I was marginally disappointed there was no intro. At least not in the VoD version, which is what I bought. After all, Maniac had an intro....

Man, I wish I could still drink beer (gluten intolerance sucks).

I learned.......... that I can now call it "flying a plane".

........ that when your hot teen big boobed neighbor comes over and invites you to the 4th of July fireworks wearing a bikini. You can not refuse.

....... that I wish I had a hot teen big boobed neighbor when I was that age.

....... that smoking pot on the 50 yard line in the middle of lunch break, is ok.

There may be more. I need to watch it again.
