It says my theater is showing it. I already assumed it would, but confirmation is nice

I'm guessing that it will be showing this performance (scroll down a bit to see)

California Center for the Performing Arts, Escondido

RiffTrax Live! is the comedy event of the summer. Bill Corbett, Kevin Murphy and Mike Nelson, stars of the legendary and long-running "Mystery Science Theater 3000," bring their special brand of hilarity to the Center for one night only. These masters of cinematic satire will slice and dice a classic — or maybe not so classic — film in their rapid fire, and exhaustingly hilarious style. Don't miss this magical night of non-stop laughter with the riff-masters themselves. This show is not suitable for young children.

WOO HOO!!  The Briar Creek theater in Raleigh I've seen the last two in is showing it again this time!  <reserves tickets>  <reserves more tickets just to make sure>  Heh.

Davenport, Iowa in the hizzouse.

Okay, that was weak sauce. My apologies. Meant to say, bought my ticket.

Wheee.
Buy my book! "The Angel of Lies" is on sale now!

Hopefully the " URL will be revealed on-screen" will be a little more clear for morons like me this time.  I completely missed it last time and was perking my ears and craning my eyes all through the end of the show.

You people and your big city ways. I guess after only 20 or so people showed up at the last two of these they decided not to show it at my local theater this time. And I guess they are not going to add after the fact.

56. My Legions of Terror will be trained in basic marksmanship. Any who cannot learn to hit a man-sized target at 10 meters will be used for target practice.

ShadowDog

Hmmm, you're making me nervous now.  It was standing room only the first time in my theater, but only about half full the second time.  If this trend continues they might stop showing it there.  *sob*

Tripe

Er it's not playing anywhere near me. This is weird since the other two shows seemed to do really well. :-\

alphaman

Anyone from Seattle planning on going? Unless I'm reading the fathom page wrong it's playing at quite a few of the big theaters around here?

Plastic Self-Cleaning Duck

And back at the time didn't someone say that when they went to for the Christmas Encore it was canceled - even though they'd bought their tickets up front - because the original showing didn't do well enough in the opinion of the theater?

That's disconcerting.

So, have a paper and pencil ready for this one....writing "http:/420.douchebag.com" or whatever in a dark theater?  What was wrong with showing a password only this time having someone say over it "And here's your password for your free downloads..."?  In fact, during Plan 9, didn't Mike just straight out announce it on stage?  I seem to remember something about him joking "Lugosi" being "real difficult..."

ShadowDog

Yeah, he did say it outright the first time.  That's one reason I missed it, because I kept waiting for him to say it and by the time he was walking off stage I realized I erred.  LOL

The canceling the encore thing is troubling.  Just one more reason to see the first airing.

The writing your own riffs thing should be interesting. Too bad the only person who thinks I'm funny is me.

I missed the first two shows (I seem to have really bad luck when it comes to attending these), so I'll definitely try to go to this one. They showed the previous two here in Norfolk, so I'm assuming they'll show this one as well. I haven't checked yet though. And this time it will be all material I've never heard, so that's something.

One thing I really like about the live events is seeing what other Rifftrax fans look like.  I haven't been able to convert any of my friends so I'm the only person in my circle who's into Rifftrax.  And in the first live show there were dozens of REALLY hawt chicks who very into it, which shocked me and made me feel a little bit less like a flaming nerd.

I was amazed at how young everyone at my theater was, at that's coming from a 20 year old (19 at the time).
