We just need more rifftrax merch...

...I'll display it all if it helps keeps this phenomenon going

I was attempting to ascertain whether or not Mike still held a position of authority and or influence over at Best Brains.  Yes, I realize that there is no show to either write for or perform in.  I guess I mean is there any sort of rudimentary corporate structure there in which he would still be able to affect the remaining business practices there.  Mind you that probably is at this point limited to selling MST3K Merchandise.

Now bear with me, at present, BBI does accept payment for it's merchandise with a credit card.  However for all intents and purposes it's done more or less manually, strictly mail order.  The customer fills out an order blank with all the pertinent info, then sends it snail mail to Minnesota to be processed.

What I was thinking, in addition to creating selling more RiffTrax items, we could introduce the BBI line of MST3K merchandise as well.  Doing so would allow those who are both fans of RiffTrax and of MST3K the best of both worlds. More importantly, could provide a bridge of sorts to any fans of MST3K who either haven't found out about RiffTrax, or who may be still  'sitting on the fence' as it were.  (if there are any of those any more)

Also, It would provide a means for said fans to make impulse buys of their favorite MST3K 'stuff', and not have to wait nearly as long to receive it....

Maybe, but it seems that everything involved with MST3k merch is running on some different frequency.

For example, I doubt that even in 20 years would we see all the MST episodes released by Rhino

For the most part, us MSTies are on our own to get our fix

Minnesota

well the faq does have an answer for you: ... not mst 2.0... ect

macleod

That's not what I meant; I was just referencing the old MST stuff...

Rifftrax is a wonderful, wonderful thing that really has a different feel from the old MST days

Minnesota

yup, totally agree rifftrax is awesome to the max

Well, now that I think about it a little more sataliete news seems to be where the majority of forum members heard of rifftrax, any ad for mst merch should go to that site.

Strictly speaking, I 'm not talking so much about the videos and DVD's as much as everything else.  Which way would most people prefer to pay for anything,  traditional mail order that take weeks, sometimes months, or direct debit/PayPal?

I don't think Mike has anything to do with BBI to be honest, it was Jim and Joel, and besides mike and others have given the impression that they  weren't BFF when the show wrapped up.

Yeah, I know we all clamor for Joel to jump in on a riff, but I think we'd be more likely to get Bruce Campbell...I just don't see Joel wanting to rejoin the crew

As in "wearing nothing but..."?

Meanwhile, back on topic, I know you've all been anxiously awaiting the word with baited breath...

I'm happy to say that I got my Swing Parade DVD through my door this morning with ten free RiffStix included.
I did order it just before the stickers were made available separately, however, so I don't know if they would still come with it. (Any news, TorgosPizza?)

And just because you asked, I've so far used 5 of them.
Front of Crossroads & Firewall, back of Cocktail, inside Dr. Moreau & Troll 2.

inside Dr. Moreau & Troll 2.

That probably could've been phrased better...

Thom_Serveaux

Careful, quoting yourself is nearly as bad as talking to yourself...

macleod

That depends...is troll 2 a "girl" movie or a "boy" movie?
