so i am watching shrek 2

(the following probably only applies to those who have been to LA and more specifically hollywood)

ok so i am watching shrek 2 here and i realize that they were TRYING to emulate hollywood and what not, but didnt anyone else find it disconcerting to see familiar landscape in a CGI cartoon movie?  plus all the add placement that was only just mildly altered so it fit into shreks world was a little weird too.

I thought a lot of it was brilliant social satire.

Meh, it wouldn't be the first time Hollywood was satired. I didn't think it was any worse than Shark Tale.

yeah but thats not what i am talking about, i literally reconize the place in the movie.  which shouldnt happen because the movie isnt based in anyplace real.

Oh gotcha. Well I guess that's their way of saying Hollywood people really ARE kings, queens and princesses! Or they are reeeeally making sure the audience understands the parallels.
