Synopsis (Via IMDb): Elsa and Clive, two young rebellious scientists, defy legal and ethical boundaries and forge ahead with a dangerous experiment: splicing together human and animal DNA to create a new organism. Named "Dren", the creature rapidly develops from a deformed female infant into a beautiful but dangerous winged human-chimera, who forges a bond with both of her creators - only to have that bond turn deadly.

Anyone looking forward to this? I think both Polley and Brody are pretty great so having them together should be wonderful.

Guillermo del Toro is involved.

That's all I need to hear.

TTYT

He's about as involved as Tarantino was involved with Hero, though.

Movie looks interesting, though.

Guillermo del Toro can do no wrong!!!  :grr:
I kid. But his name attached to this project definitely piques my interest, and I'll be checking it out even though I got the feeling from the trailer that they were trying to make the movie seem scarier than it is.

Also, Rated R for "strong sexuality and nudity"? Not with the creature, I hope...

I love Guillermo, but "Guillermo del Toro presents" means nothing to me. Intriguing concept though. Adrien Brody sure makes intersting choices...

TTYT

Well, del Toro did present The Orphanage, which was an excellent movie...

Ah, good point.

Now that I think of it, "Guillermo del Toro presents" does mean something to me, because I know he wouldn't just throw his name on something willy nilly. Splice doesn't look that great, though.

FYI, Vincenzo Natali also directed Cube and Cypher.

Tripe

So a winged Ramona Quimby then right?

So this is NOT a documentary about film editing? *pass*

I can't be the only one who thought the fully grown creature looked kinda hot in that trailer, can I?

You're not, and they have entire websites and conventions where you can meet people just like yourself  :P
