Okay, I don't know if this deserves its own thread or not, but I'm going to do it anyway.  :)

Currently on my imdb vote history, I'm at 9969 titles and soon I'll be entering the 5 figure range (something I expect I'll never get out of). To mark the occasion, I've picked some long awaited (for me, at least) films to countdown the final ten.  They are, in no particular order:

1. Judgement at Nuremberg
2. Best Years of Our Lives
3. Fedora
4. Birth of a Nation
5. The Caine Mutiny
6. Barry Lyndon
7. Gandhi
8. The Hurt Locker
9. A King in New York
10. Troma's War

I'll review them in this thread when I've seen them.  :)

Good on ya man, that's a hell of an accomplishment. I hope to get it someday.

Any idea how long it's taken you (starting from movies you remember watching, I mean)?

THE QUEEN!!!

Sounds like a good idea

2. Best Years of Our Lives
This is one of my all time favorites. I hope you enjoy it.

1. Judgement at Nuremberg

I too have always meant to see this and never have. I need to get on it.

I've been watching movies pretty heavily since my childhood.  My family would always rent a few films a week (when you could rent them for an entire week) but I suppose I've been watching them heavily for about 10 years.  Super heavily the last few, with the availability of titles on the internet.  If I had to buy everything I saw, I'd be bankrupt and without space.  :)

I'm not sure about some of them, but these are all in the 3hr range.  Not sure if you knew that (perhaps it is why you've put them off for so long).  Congratulations!

If it makes you feel any better, I happen to know that with the exception of Birth of A Nation, those are some excellent 3hr movies worthy of their epic length (well... Judgment could've been cut down a bit, but it's still very, very good).

I always forget to post reviews or check off movies I've seen

It may not interest you, but have you tried:

That's if you want to keep track of certain movies you've seen, of course.  I'm kinda obsessive about it, obviously.  :)

Oh god no.  If I reviewed every film I saw, I wouldn't have seen nearly as many.  :)

Oh, and Best Years of Our Lives is about 3 hours too. I'm seeing a pattern here.

I like how that's supposed to explain the randomness.
