I can see a CF for 1B trade in our future.

I love to trade in fantasy leagues...... although with only 11 teams, people may play the free agent route.

I like the sound of your jib!  ;)

And trades are what make things interesting, just like real baseball. Movin' and shakin'!

Especially if I can find a sucker to trade me Adam Wainwright for JD Drew...... but no one is THAT dumb.....

Kerry Wood is already in mid-season form.

That's sad. The dude was a freak and now his arm resembles something hanging in a deli.

I think they still have statues of Prior & Wood at the park the Iowa Cubs play at.  (Where I was told to "stop harassing the talent" for yelling at Dempster as he was warming up.  Best part was my boss started yelling at the security guard "You call THAT talent? Dempster you're killing my fantasy baseball team!")

Bob

Yup, the Cubs sure handled their careers wonderfully.........  I shudder to thing what Dusty Baker will do to the young Reds' pitchers.

There's something great about fantasy sports that it can evoke that brand of outburst.

Yep!  I used to have a rule against having Red Sox on my team up until 2003 because it hurt twice as much when they decided to fail.

Word has it that Dusty's first act as manager was to mandate preemptive Tommy John surgery for all pitchers and prospects in the entire organization.

A large shipment of sterilized scalpels have been shipped to Cincy to enable bullpen catchers to perform the surgery in between warm-up tosses.

Dare I even look at what the auto-draft dealt me??

*memories of Russell Martin has been evoked*

:D

Okay, I'm liking my H2H team...

Te(i)x
Tulo
Zimmerman
Wieters
Phillips
...and an outfield of Granderson, Victorino, and Wells (rebound, baby)

In parallel w/ a pitching staff anchored by Gallardo, Jackson, Oswalt, Anderson while Street closes...nice!

Now as for my Roto-League team, much love...the pitching staff...

Grienke
Johan
CliffLee
Jimenez
Feliz
Niemann
w/ Soriano closing.

*cheers*

As for the everyday lineup, I guess Howard or Te(i)x will be my utility player for many a day this season!  :D

I'm also glad I got Gordon Beckham, I would've drafted him. Anyway, I'm ready.

Go Crew!

Beckham was one of my "who is this guy? I hope he's good!" picks.

I see he's moving from 3B to 2B which will be nice!

Steve-O

I won my draft.  I shall dominate this season.

Is there a RiffTrax League, by the way, and if not, why not?  Make it happen.

I don't know if there's enough people on the forum interested to get an entire league going.  The leagues I'm in are a bunch of people from here, from work, from college, and family.  (And some of Bob's co-workers now I think)
