Quotebejewelled cellphones

I'm a guy and I have Bejewelled on my phone.  It's a fun game.

It is not bedazzled though...

BTW Day After Tomorrow is one of my fav riffs ever.  When I saw 2012 I just kept thinking "I can't wait for this riff".
Me Stan. Bachomp Ba chuey chomp.  Ba Chuey chomp.

Yeah, get it right!  There is a very clear distinction between bejewelled and bedazzled.  :grr:

Because then there are plenty of used copies, which doesn't give the studios any more money.

ShadowDog

There's a great used DVD store that almost always has used copies of new movies within a week or two of them hitting stores so I always check there first for new release riffed movies.  It's amazing, I don't know how the hell they get used copies so fast but maybe it has something to do with it being down the block from a large college.  But anyway, I'm doing my part to not give studios my money.  LMFAO

A guy has a theory.  Cancel the Riff.
Is that you saying that the next riff will be New Moon? So will the 20 questions game be changed to a "be the first person to post in this thread at a certain time" game?

ShadowDog

Don't let him get in your head!  My father had a high security clearance in the Navy and he wasn't as good at this cloak and dagger shit as Conor is.

I think he was talking about the other nonsense about when a riff must be released.

Anyway, sometimes when it's an obvious release they have a riff-a-frame-from-the-movie comp instead.
FINE

They are most likely stolen.

My roommate has picked up on a similar scenario.  He gets some surprisingly new and very good movies (the caliber not often found in a pawn shop [Oh hai Criterion]) for a few dollars each at local pawn shops.  It was boggling our minds the finds he'd, uh... find.  This one place, we deduced there was a movie-druggie addict guy nearby.  Our only explanation was that he'd get his paycheck, buy some movies, sell the movies, then buy drugs.  Lather, rinse, repeat.

Or, a good place to sell your hot items after a long day of shoplifting and breaking and entering.

Yeah, but that's not as fun of a theory.   ;)

It's a combination of both. When I worked at a large chain record store that buys used dvds, cds, and games that will remain unnamed, (It's initals are Fuck Your Employees.) there were regulars that came in every Tuesday and bought a stack of new releases, no matter what they were. A week or two later, they'd sell them back used. Either they were building a library of bootlegs, or they just never heard of Blockbuster. (Some of them didn't exactly seem the type to rip and burn movies, either. Who knows.)

At the much more illegal end of the spectrum, my house was broken into a couple years ago by some asshole who stole about half of my (rather numerous) dvd collection. I found a large number of them for sale in the used bin at nearby Gamestops. Do I know for sure that they had mine? No, but who would purchase, say, The Apartment, then decide they didn't like it and trade it in for Grand Theft Auto 4: Crack Whore City?

Thrifty

I bought some great used DVDs at a pawn shop recently.  10 in total, for four bucks each.

Great selection, but then I look through and see movies like "Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever" and I get all like "who bought a DVD of Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever?"

I used to work for the same company. Our problem was, we wouldn't take in used games without the original packaging, while the GameStop in the same mall would, so basically they were subsidizing shoplifting at our store.
