I would too. I would love to have Mark Hamill or Craig Ferguson do a riff with the guys. That would be sweet, especially Mark Hamill.

Mark Hamill would be fun, but I think Craig Ferguson would have even more chemistry with the riffers.

Yes, the 20th is a Saturday.  That way all of the teen fans can stay up for the midnight release parties. they did this for some of the High School Musical DVDs as well.

And speak for yourself when you say "Everyone assumes it'll be New Moon." After all, it wouldn't be the end of the world if something else got riffed.

Yes, the 20th is a Saturday.  That way all of the teen fans can stay up for the midnight release parties. they did this for some of the High School Musical DVDs as well.

This has probably all been mentioned, I don't feel like reading through all the comments, and I've probably had a bit too much herbal therapy to manage it.

New Moon and 2012 do have ONE common thread, though: a Rifftrax is the ONLY thing that would convince me to sit through either movie.

Someone tell me why New Moon gets to be released on a day that isn't Tuesday. Isn't that against retail law or something? And would they really release a Rifftrax on a Saturday just because of that?

I wouldn't bet on 2012. The movies they riff on release day tend to be nerdtastic, and there is nothing nerdtastic about 2012. Also a little too similar to The Day After Tomorrow. Of course, we get thrown for a loop every now and then with something like Fast and Furious. (Why?)

I'm guessing it's one of the sequels we've been waiting for, if it's not New Moon. Where is the justice riffing New Moon before X3? Or even skipping it and going right for Wolverine. And New Moon isn't a case of "maybe this one will be better." Twilight's an easy target, but if you actually paid to see New Moon after seeing Twilight, you deserve to suffer alone. It's not even a nerd movie! It's a movie for little girls!
