Hey guys, as someone who subscribes to Netflix, I think it would be a good idea for you to consider adding some kind of indicator icon to RiffTrax entries on your store that indicates a movie is available via Netflix Instant Watch.  It may help you sell some more, people might not think of that option.

Not a bad idea. I'd actually looked into hooking into the NetFlix API at one point, to try and automate that stuff, rather than have to keep track of which movies are or aren't available, as that can change. I'll look into doing something like that again.

That;'s a great idea, and a possible strategic partnership; we've used Netflix Streaming to watch Riffs we bought, so it increases the likelihood that someone will buy a Riff, even if they don't own the film on DVD.

We've even done an iRiff with Netflix Streaming in mind...but we're still waiting to upload them. :)

In another discussion there was mention that some iriffers found sync issues when trying to use the watchnow feature to create their riffs. If this is true I suspect this would be a huge headache for rifftrax if they started pointing people in that direction.

I watched Dragon Wars and a couple other normal riffs via Netflix Instant and never had an issue.

You would definitely have issues trying to create a riff using Instant viewing, but there is no reason that they would not work to watch a riff that had been created from a DVD using it.
