I'm extremely excited that I found this site!  And here I thought the MST3K days were long dead!

I do have a question for you folks though that you might find to be silly.

I was wondering just how "age-appropriate" the tracks are?

What I mean is...if I were to run a track with, say, my 11 year old younger sibling around...would my folks forbid him to come to my apartment ever again?   ;)

Whats the "severity" of the language on the tracks.  If you guys can help me out, it'd be great!

if the movie is ok for your daughter to watch the track is no worse.  Usually it more tame than the movie, prime example would be roadhouse, which has a few nudidity scenes a curse word or two but nothing really out of mikes mouth.

So something like the phantom menance is totally clean.

A very small smattering of S-bombs on rare occasions. It never gets worse than MST3K the movie.

Brak

Hey welcome to the fourms. From what i have watched so far, i can compare it to an MST3K episode.  I havent seen The Matrix or anything so i couldnt say for R rated films but for the others its hillarious and my younger sibling who is 10 loves them!

Pretty much can guarentee that your sibling won't hear anything new ;) There are very few blue words in the rifftrax. The gag in STV stands out because it was unusual, but works so well.

Wait, they said s*** in MST3K the movie?  Was it in the 'deleted scenes'?

Anyhue, welcome to the forums, so far it's been very pleasant and polite here amongst the other members, "and nary is heard a discouraging word..."  Though I can't speak as to whether or not the sky is cloudy all day.  I don't get out that much...  Oh, and here... *Gives geluf a Chiro-Gyro(Chiropractic Helmet), a Flaming Flower, and a Cumber Bubble-bund...*

Enjoy!

Question for you:

would your 11 year old sibling even understand 1/3rd of the stuff they say anyway?? There's so many pop culture references oozing out of every Rifftrax release that I doubt an 11 year old kid would catch much of it.

Part of the goodness of rifftrax is they don't have to understand every bit to laugh.  There's plenty of juvenile humor in them too.
mike5150 how tall are you?.....in gallons?

Indeed, any more than the alleged 'producers' of these so-called 'blockbusters' need to understand the concept behind what makes a good movie...
