When listing riffs in the "A-Z" format, please do not alphabetize by "A(n)" or "The". "The Grudge" should be under "G", not "T", in my opinion.

Good point, albeit somewhat nitpicky :) Problem is, that's the way the system is sorting things; I'll have to dig in and see if there's a way to modify it (without going through the old nodes and removing "The" from the title.

I'm thinking the search engine is a better option for finding something rather than browsing anyways. I don't see a real need in fixing that.

Except maybe decided to browse the movies anyone and forgot the title.  "It started with a G, I think."

Last I checked if typed any letter in the search engine a drop down would give you a list of possible matches that way too.

One option is to have a field for "sort_by" in addition to the title field.

Another option is modify the code to ignore "a " and "the " when sorting.

It's really not a difficult problem to solve. You should not actually alter the titles of the riffs.

Well, the system that we're using.. I can't make those alterations without a) hacking them, which is bad or b) learning how to intercept the queries, which I may or may not have a lot of time for.. but I'll try. Believe me, I've thought it through and it's not as easy as you'd think.

Well, that will really be good and really helpful.
