Worst movies of the Decade

As we move into 2010 and we look back on the decade, we realise the Noughties have given us many fantastic, memorable films...

But by God, it's given us a lot of crap as well. Thanks to the advent of things like DVD, digital film and the internet, we've witnessed some of the worst movies ever created hit our screens, from big screen flops to straight to DVD tosh. Some of it has been entertainingly bad, others have been just plain horrible.

So what have been your worst movies from the last decade? My picks:

Shark Attack 3: Megalodon  Still one of my favourite 'so bad it's good' movies, Shark Attack 3 has become the somewhat acceptable face of bad movies. Laughable cheap special effects, crazy edting, and superstar John Barrowman acting like a buffoon. It's a comedy classic, but still pretty awful.

The Cave In which a bunch of idiots bumble about a cave and get eaten by monsters, Even by the standards of the 'monsters hunt humans' genre of movies, this is pretty crummy. Marvel as one of the cast begins to mutate into a monster, then weep as NOTHING interesting is made out of this important plot point.

100 Million BC This was the decade in which The Asylum, proud makers of cheap knock-off movies, really came into prominence. 100 Million BC is one of their worst offenders. An inept tale in which a poorly animated T-Rex which no one can hear coming wanders about LA eating random extras.

Superbabies: Baby Geniuses 2  Why, oh why was this even greenlit? Wise cracking talking babies with superpowers? What the hell?!!

The Happening Oh M.Night Shymalan, I had such high hopes for this film. I camein expection fear and tension. Instead you gave us people falling into lawnmowers and close up of Mark Wahlberg's pasty face.

The Mystical Adventures of Billy Owens The most wretched movie I have ever seen in my life. The actors are terrible. The script is utter nonsense. The director has no damn clue what he's doing. And the main star power is Rowdy Roddy Piper. Total fail from beginning to end.

So what are your picks?

D.B. Barnes

Jesus! I've only seen one of these and it was only thanks to Quiptracks and RiffTrax. Sounds like there's some serious riffing fodder out there.
VIVA IL ESORDIO DEL DIABETE ADULTO DUCE!!!

John Travolta playing an alien, tilted camera angles, hilariously bad special effects (in this case, the laser blasts from the aliens' guns), really bad alien grunts and groans, and it's based off of a novel by Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard. I have no further comments.

Other than Allyson Hartigan (sp?), is there any reason to like it?

Hannigan.  And no.

That still makes it one better than White Chicks, Little Man, Meet the Spartans, the remake of Prom Night, the remake of Black Christmas, and about a half dozen Steven Segal movies though.   :)

I still like Battlefield Earth, it's also better than 90% of the religious movies I've seen.
