Sharktopus

Wow, $150+ for an empty box.

Maybe it's just me, but - despite the unfortunate name - the Ding-A-Lings seem like pretty damn cool toys, especially for the early '70s.

Somebody's got SEVEN Gaylords....new in the box?  Good grief!

I remember that and the jet plane toy from when I was a kid....

In fact, someone I knew had the jet plane toy and it was pretty cool (give us a break...it was the closest we had to video games).

There was also this one....

I remember something like the jetplane think but it was with a car. You had to try to keep on the road.

The friend I brought with me to the show immediately ordered a Gaylord from eBay when he got home, which is why that listing says 7 when a few hours ago it said 8.  I shit you not.  Him and his GF own two basset hounds so he's going to give it to her for Christmas if it comes in time.  I told him he should act like it's the only gift he got her.

That's funny!  And $25 for something that age isn't bad.

I keep getting the feeling though that "Gaylord" was the first generation of that toy...and that that there was another version of the same thing when I was a kid.

Magnetic bones and all.

I was just looking at the ad for Gaylord again....

Wonder if they meant to have his back leg raised at the very end?   :D
