I tried toychest and toybox and got nothing.

Weird that you and I remember the same wrong codes...   ;)

When are we going to see the other shorts available? I know we have a few of them, but I'd love to make a Christmas Shorts DVD of my own for the holidays! Perhaps a discounted bundle pack?

Hey! The back of my head is in the pictures posted previously! This was an absolutely fantastic night, and getting to buy beers for Bill, Mike, and Kevin afterwards is one of the high points of my life. Woot!

Better yet..straight to DVD on Amazon?

And it will seem strange to them to get an Xmas title in January but you don't have to wait until next year to release it...

Our theater screwed up and showed previews until about 8:15, then started to show "Old Dogs" before we started yelling and they fixed it. What did we miss?

Ya, ours started with no sound for the first five minuets. Never turned the lights off untill half way through and never turned the lights back on at the end so alot of people were tripping over each other to leave.

Tinseltown, eh? :D

Yup, another fun night!

One highlight that others probably didn't have: After the Rifftrax Trivia (fantastic, by the way), they went into the Fathom Events Previews. When the Prairie Home Companion preview came up the audio cut out --- and the crowd promptly applauded. When Garrison Keillor came back a few seconds later, there was an audible groan.

(Us Minnesotans had enough of his shtick some 20 years ago.)

Anyway, I'm off to be small and of no account.

In Paramus the theater was a little over half full, but it was a big-ass theater. The same screen sold out for Plan 9, but I'd attribute the lower turnout to there being a second showing tomorrow.

Biggest laughs:

1. "I need you tonight." (HUGE)

2. "Santa's new sidekick, Prince of Space!"

3. Strangely enough, "Exotic ports, like Hoboken." I guess the proximity to NYC skewed that one a bit.

Same thing happened at my theater.  We had an audio failure just after he started talking.  Without even thinking, I said out loud "Hey, I like him better this way."  I think I got a few chuckles from that.

Sounds like the Prairie Home Companion trailer might've cut out for everyone. What a profound shame.

Without the distraction of his math-teacher-on-lithium voice, I had a good opportunity to reflect on just how much Garrison Keillor does look like Jack Elam from Girl In Lover's Lane. Creepy.

Yeah, we had that happen too. No groans or applause, but I think I heard a few sighs of relief when the audio cut out. Mine was one of them. :)

Um... it wasn't toybox?  I'm pretty sure it was.  Although if that's wrong it explains why the page isn't loading for me.

What was the first short titled, he asks rhetorically.

Scrivener

We had the same duck-out of sound during the Garrison Keillor promo.  Got some appreciative laughter, and the sound came back in plenty of time for the actual show.

The one serious technical snafu we had was during the last couple minutes of "Christmas Dream", when the audio for a trailer for some action-espionage flick -- a very loud action-espionage flick -- started playing over the Rifftrax feed, drowning most of it out.  Someone upstairs finally had a brain wave, shut off both soundtracks, then turned one back on -- the loud trailer.  You can imagine the audience's reaction.  They finally got it straightened out, and we largely took it in good humor.  More or less.

I can only wonder if those toy robots inspired Chuck Berry.  " ... I like to play with my dingaling ..."  The commercials were uniformly inspired, apparently chosen for their ability to riff themselves.

And heaven help me, but I can never look at Rudolph the same way again.  And neither can Santa, apparently.  I'm assuming this was the short that killed the Max Fleischer animation studio, and don't correct me if I'm wrong.

Very much worth my time and money, even if Weird Al did one song fewer than I expected.

They started with the already broadcast shorts.
The Christmas Toyshop riff. http://www.rifftrax.com/ondemand/christmas-toyshop

Cool. Already have that one. Did they do any intro stuff? Were there any goofy movie questions before 8pm like last time?

BTW: I hope they at least gave you a free pass for that mess-up.

Some people complained, but most let it slide. I have no idea if they got any free stuff.

Considering there was an "Old Dogs"-related riff, that seems oddly appropriate.

Yeah, that riff killed at our theater for that very reason.
